I don't know about genies in a bottle or magic and all that stuff but, I do know about Positive Thinking… It works!
I'm 81 years old and I've been practicing and teaching a Positive Thinking lifestyle for 50+ years.
In my early thirties I attended the Dale Carnegie Training Classes. "How To Win Friends And Influence People".
I came out at the top of the class and was invited to be a Graduate Assistant. I've seen people come in looking down at their shoes; with no personality and after 14 weeks they were smiling, standing before the class and making speeches. It works!
I was one of those, shy, boys over 50 years ago. It changed my, whole, life. I've been a top salesman in several industries. I've owned several businesses that I created from scratch. Yes, there is such a thing as scratch:) If you scratch for your dream it will, eventually, come true.

Toastmasters is an organization I started with many years ago and I can vouch for their effectiveness...I went through the starting level to the end of the training, but never participated in any events (too busy at the time)...
I still remember clearly the transformation it helped to bring with my confidence level while speaking in front of audiences in many different settings and situations...
It is an area many people need some training with, and Toastmasters has an excellent layout/lesson plan... I have applied the lessons again and again since (and still do)...

Oh Yeah, I did Toastmasters too; great org. and training. Matter of fact, I established a new class, from the beginning, in our neighborhood, once. That doesn't mean I'm a powerful speaker, my no means. It's a great confidence builder and I always enjoyed hearing the different topics.
Right, you never forget those experiences.
