YouTube Shock
Hello wonderful family, good morning, afternoon or evening to you all.
I just went to Youtube and had a very pleasant shock!
One of my YouTube videos has taken off unexpectedly!!
The video in question is 1 month old and it has 1k views and is getting 3 views per hour.
My Channel is only 6 months old and most videos are only just in double figures.
I guess this would be a hockey stick effect on a blog post analytics.
The last time I saw stats for that video was a week or so ago and it was on 636 views, it was getting 1 view an hour and then it wasn't being recorded anymore.
The video is on page one of Google and the blog post is also on page 1 position 1.
My blog traffic has also grown by 4,000 page views in just 6 weeks which is huge when you compare that to 6,665 views in the 1st 10 months of my blog's life.
The training works as long as you follow it and put all that you learn into practice.
July has also been my best referral upgrade month ever so far!!
I'm doing the happy dance right now lol.

That's great news, it's amazing what happens when we take action! I know that you have been working hard on your YouTube channel. I also hear lots about the hockey stick effect, I am really pleased that things are happening!
It looks like Europe has very hot weather. We just came back from northern Greece on Monday, Thessaloniki was about 30° C, and the UK was about 37° C! I don't think I have ever arrived back from Greece with warmer temperatures in the UK! 44° C is extremely hot, take care.
It's really encouraging to read your updates, Lisa, I'm sure it helps many members on Wealthy Affiliate.

Great news! I have had a YouTube Channel about a year! One video has over 10,000 views. I always lead subscribers to my website, and from my website to YouTube. I have made some affiliate money off of my videos on YouTube. I like to use Fb, Insta, Twitter, Google keen, and tik tok. I put all of my videos and content on all of them. YouTube has been good for me. Alot of my content ranks 1st from the platform in my niche. I have 94 videos and 550 subscribers, and it keeps growing. Thanks for sharing. YouTube is a must!

Congratulations on your video success. I'm going to make some tutorial videos once I have my new blog fleshed out a bit. I will not be showing my face and plan on using a screen recorder.
I just have to work on my headset microphone to perfect the audio. The few tests I've done I sound like a cross between Darth Vader and an excited pervert the way it picks up my breathing. And trust me, no one wants to listen to that. I researched some tips for that and turns out it's a common problem. Phew.
Coming across your post is timely as it reinforces my intuition to do the videos as another source to get traffic to my site.
You can edit the breathing out. That is what most people do.
