Thoughts on first few days - Time

So a few days into my WA journey, thought id drop a blog post, giving my thoughts.

I come from a background of making websites as a hobby, and been using Wordpress for some years etc. So i am here mostly for the training on internet marketing, SEO etc to build a profitable website or sites.

From that standpoint, one thing ive not been keen on with WA is the hosting to create websites within WA. In essence i love the idea of having everything in one place and not having the costs of hosting as extra. However i find the hosting here way too restricted, no access to CPanel and backend of hosting etc. And i have a couple of plugins i own id like to use such as WZone etc which cant be used due to WA limits.

I can live with hosting my site elsewhere, as i already have a good hosting package anyhow (albeit would be great not to have double the costs), but disappointingly you then feel like only part of your WA works with external hosting, ie site comments, site content area etc all useless if hosting externally.

I can see how the inhouse hosting etc is great for not techy minded folk maybe, but i need to have full control over my sites backend etc so i can tweak code if need be etc.

Be interested to know how many others use external hosting if you can reply?

Moving on, the training is going well so far, albeit time as always in my barrier. Really wish i could add have more time for WA, but other than less sleep (an option) i am giving it as much time as possible right now.

The layout of the website at WA is excellent, one thing i really do like is the UI design, finding next lesson etc so easy from the menus. The chat area on the right is great and really feels like a comuunity vibe.

Cant deny the community does feel a little "cult" like to a newcomer, and i mean no offence honestly. Just so many people devoted to WA it almost feels weird, but hey maybe me too soon.

Anyway must get back to tweaking my theme (on my external hosting)
