It ain't easy
Deciding to make the change for a better future is easier than COMMITTING to make said change. When we make that choice to step out and COMMIT to what WE want, we also COMMIT to HARDSHIPS. I find myself having to listen to motivation and success podcasts more and more because this stuff take work! Don't get me wrong, I love writing articles and learning new things about how to drive traffic and what-not, but it is draining. You make a choice to try to build toward a better future and realize that no one really supports or "gets" your dream. Some people may say that they believe in your abilities, but only as long as your still working hard at your "real" job.
Here's the thing, you have to BELIEVE that you are CAPABLE of doing this, otherwise you're just wasting time. It takes a lot of self-talk and re-talk to build up your motivation to continue while everyone's sleeping, but it's all WORTH it. REMEMBER that it's okay for them to NOT believe because it isn't THEIR dream, it's YOURS.
The mental aspect of building a business is, in my humble opinion, the MOST important part. If you don't learn to take your thoughts captive, they'll end up capturing you! WE are BUILT for this. WE are CAPABLE, WE are QUALIFIED and WE are ALLOWED to pursue the LIFE we WANT.
REMEMBER (this is a reminder to myself as well)

Thank you for your blog post, I understand where you're coming from. I have been making money online since 2007 and even now there are very few people who I talk face-to-face about my online business as in general people don't understand how an online business works! As you mention, you have to work hard at your regular job, the majority of people don't realise there are alternative ways to make money!
