Google Page or Profile
Hi all, how are you today?
Yesterday I was going through all my stuff to catch up and I decided to check out Buffer to schedule my posts to my social accounts and for Google+ they told me I couldn't add a profile account and needed a page instead.
In case you don't know, as I didn't, profiles are personal and pages are for business. Kind of like Facebook.
So I went ahead and created my page, which is exactly the same as my profile one. But NOW, I have to add all the posts onto my page and I will need to get all the business contacts on my page..
If you have connected with me on Google+, could I ask you to go to my page and follow me there? You can find the link on my profile page. I'll start adding more posts on it. It's in progress.

Hi Liz,
I'm on course 2 Lesson 9 and it said to connect your website to Google+ I already have a Gmail account with Google and upgraded to Google+ but the instructions from Kyle differ to the Google site, there seems to be no profile page to add my website too, so I have no idea what I'm doing!!
( I'm not sure if any of this makes sense) anyway just wounded if you could help? please

Since you already have a Google+ account you will be able to create a page. You'll want to copy and paste the url in your WA settings where your G+ account url should go.

You would need to post the link to your page, though!
And, before you can create a page you Needed to have a profile! And on G+ the etiquette is connecting with PEOPLE and not with BUSINESSES. That means you first create connections via your profile and then send people to your page.
Ah ok!! I created the profile ages ago and should have created a business page when I started at WA to start adding posts to it and followers...

We shouldn't add our links in posts and so redirect people to our profile. That way it's not spammy.

Thank you for the info Liz, business pages are an other opportunity to promote our online presence. I had a discussion yesterday about the merits, my overriding feeling is that we can do this basically for free, awesome I say. Keep us up to date on how it goes.
