Two days after posting a blog about Amazon Scam news from Winnipeg police, I received an email below from Amazon.

At first glance, the email looks legit and a simple click on the link or by tapping the message block could actually opens the link. (I accidentally click on the message block, while capturing the message).
The email was very enticing - I won a $100 coupon that I could use for shopping at Amazon! Sweet! :)
However, knowing about the Scam News prompted me to investigate the email further instead of just clicking the link. These are the facts that made me conclude this is a real Amazon Scam:
1. The start of the message "Dear" without my actual name sounds fishy. It's an obvious generic message.
2. $100 coupon in the email title became $1000 coupon in the message body.

3. There is a time-sensitive, call to action pressure clicking line at the bottom of the message
4. Email address of the sender looks like this. Definitely not an Amazon's email address.

Lito said that those scammers just want to earn money...
I said: Heck yeah! I want to earn too, but not in a dirty way!
So stay vigilant & cautious in the online world! Let's not fall in these online predators traps!
Merry Christmas & a successful 2019 everyone!😀
Cheers!
