I had just graduated from college in Office Technology (certificate) a week before my daughter was born. Lately, she has been asking me, "what were you doing 17 years ago"- I was hospitalized 3 days before my daughter was born. They would not let me walk around and were trying to induce my labor. Back labor is a real thing! Constant weight on my lower back (pain has never gone away fully).

17 years ago my labor had started around 4am. The pain that shot through my body every so often brought me to tears multiple times. I even started howling and got into rythm at one point. They did give me pain medication but as my labor increased, they decreased. Doctor came in around 1 and popped my water. Anytime now....

My parents were allowed to watch my daughter being born. At first I did not want them to be there because I did not want them to see my private area. When you are in labor, you eventually don't care who sees what...LOL...

My daughter "crowned" around 5 pm (top of her head had come but then the contractions would stop, she was stuck)....doctors and nurses (doing their thing) and my parents (after the "news") on commercial they would pay attention to me, but during the show...news)... then the Summer season shows came on around 8pm

There I am- contractions coming every couple of seconds, trying to hold a conversation with the nurse with bad breath (didn't do the classes-lamaz)- I am tough I can handle it....sort of...

Commercials would come on and my mom would talk to me, dad was watching the doctors and nurses do their job....nightly news came on at 10pm....no baby yet....I was screaming at one time, "get a plunger! or some tongs for crying out loud, save her!" she had been in distress for sometime.....midnight came and went.....contraction came and I pushed and pushed and then it stopped and instead of not pushing, I kept pushing and pushing and pushing and she came! 12:47am (June 27)....
