My first two weeks

I've tried a lot of different things before finding Wealthy Affiliate. I spent so much time getting nowhere. Network marketing, direct sales, you name it, I've probably done it or something close.

When I started, I made the decision to stick to this and I'm really hoping my effort pays off in the near future. I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to this currently as I'm working during the day and getting home at night and eating, and then to the computer.

I was trying to go through lessons too quickly up front but I was making good progress. Then I had to start writing posts Writing posts with more than 1000 words is really hard for me. I like to get to the point and it is what it is. Writing the posts this detailed is so time consuming for me. It normally takes 2-3 days to get a post complete. After the first couple, I had to slow down my pace that I was on. I took a couple of days to reflect on what I was doing.

I'm going to keep trying to spend as much time as I can writing posts and staying on track with the courses.

I honestly don't think my niche is a good one. I have written relevant posts for the niche but I'm pretty sure I don't have it narrow enough. Here's the thing though, I don't know that I could create that much content on something that specific. That's the part I don't understand about niches. How do you come up with so much content for something so specific.

So in other words, I'm still trying to figure all of this out. I am concerned I won't be able to compete with the big guys who have been blogging for over 10 years but I'm going to keep trying with the keywords.

I wish I had more time that I could get a couple more posts done during the week but I do understand what I need to do and it makes sense.

Hopefully my next post inside WA will be about successes. :)

I'm also new here. What I've learned so far is that you need to take things at your own.pace. This lovely journey of building an online business, your own business is a marathon and not a sprint. Things will feel as it is out of your comfort zone, and you may feel a bit uneasy at times but that's where the lovely members from WA community comes in.
Use them to explain, help, feed ideas to, so that things can be made much clearer to you. Revisit training videos where how to use rich content keywords to write your blogs/articles. You stated that you don't think you have a good niche. Have you chosen something that you're passionate about? Something that you find that you can talk about for a long time?
Lindsay, forget about trying to compete with the 'big guys'. It is about you and your own journey to success. You can do it! I believe in you. Keep going and all the best. I hope this helps

Thanks for the feedback. I think my niche might be too large but I don't want to narrow it down because it would limit what I could post on my website. I'm trying to stay in a narrow portion of my niche for now.
