The only time Down is good is in Ranking.

I just got through having a humorous conversation with my son Jamal. He asked "Why is it OK to be down in ranking?" And "why is it that down is up when up is down?"

I couldn't help but to laugh because when I "tried" repeating what he said I stumbled as in a tongue-twister. So our conversation went into trying to figure out why down is good in ranking... or when you've safely landed... where down in many other senses of the word is a bad thing. It seems pretty obvious that it's a word game and I shouldn't place too much emphasis on it unless you're "trying" to rank. Which should come naturally if things are done right and if the content is good.
