Are questions and answers getting responses?

There are 10,150 questions and answers in the question and answer segment of WA. I haven't checked the statistics but I'm sure that there are more questions than answers. What does that mean? Are members getting their questions answered? Are some of the questions being asked; answerable here? Or is it possible that they old be redirected somewhere where they can be asked? Or am I reading this correctly? I have a lot of silly questions... But I heard that no question is a silly question so what do we do when we don't get answers to our questions? Is there an alternative to where we can direct questions?
I am satisfied with the answers that I get when I do ask questions. Especially how fast they get answered. But when I saw the numbers I couldn't help but to pose these questions. Can someone share any resources that we can use besides the question and answer segment, and what types of questions, if any, Should be asked in the Q&A segments.
