Am I Chasing Geese?

I am a few weeks in with developing my site and I fear that I have gone too broad again with my niche choice. I have a pre-existing fitness content website outside of WA. It is on general fitness and I have about 10 pages that currently rate top 10 google searches for their keywords with about 10,000 unique visitors last month and about 905 people on my newsletter mailing list. That site is at www.straightforwardfitness.com. Are those stats good enough to turn that site into an affiliate website?

I thought I used the keyword tool effectively this time with WA, but am wondering now as I am creating content how I will ever compete with the present top 10 on google for every great keyword/phrase I come up with. I would love some input. My site is www.fitnessforwomenover50.com. I don't want to waste time building yet another fitness website if I am off on a wild goose chase due to going too broad. After all, my whole plan is to make income with affiliates on this site and I know that requires good traffic.

Any and all ideas and/or advice would be truly appreciated. I feel like I have all this untapped potential but just not sure which way to capitalize on all of it. That is one of the reasons I joined WA.

Thanks in advance for being such a great community. At least I no longer feel alone in this online endeavor. That is a great comfort in and of itself.

Linda

Why don't you add affiliate links to the site that is getting so much traffic? That sounds like a lot of visitors. My site has had 32 in total. Hahaha. And some of those or me showing people the site on their computers and I'm pretty sure the rest are from here. My site doesn't come up in the first 3 pages of Google. I hope I'm not doing something wrong. I think you are on the right track and will do very well!

Thanks, Tanya! I hope so but still feel like I am close but missing something that is probably obvious. Like how to get my two sites together. My old site needs re-vamping for sure. I haven't posted anything new on there in ages except for my monthly newsletter. With writing new content for my WA site I am realizing how closely related they are and wondering how I can combine them somehow. I don't know. I built the old site back in 2008-9. It's had years to grow traffic and great guidance within its platform also with blockbuilding guidance on how to place keywords throughout your page. That's how I still have 10 pages ranking top 10 in google over there. You would think between the two excellent platforms I could figure this out. lol

Hopefully someone else on here will be able to help you out!

Linda, Just read your post. I wish I had more experience with this sort of thing to answer that question.......What is your website here?

Hi Teresa! www.Fitnessforwomenover50.com is my WA site.
