How Do You Analyze Your Site for SEO?

I just stumbled across a wonderful website created by Neil Patel. Mr. Patel has received numerous prestigious awards and recognitions by US President Obama, the United Nations, Entrepreneur Magazine, and more. He has created a terrifically successful business analyzing websites for companies such as Amazon, HP, General Motors, NBC, Viacom...even one of my favorites, TechCrunch, and has grown their traffic and revenues enormously.

Of course you can have Mr. Patel or one of his employees personally review and optimize your website for what I expect to be a hefty fee, but you can use his free website analyzer tool at www.quicksprout.com.

I've tried it and I love it. You can load your main site's URL or any page and have it rated and scored for its SEO, Load time (Speed), and Social Media Connection. Best of all, you can add three other sites--your competitors--and have the four sites scored and ranked side by side.

When you look at your own site's analysis, you'll get a detailed list of every SEO error, warning, suggestion, and how to remedy it.

Of course, the "how to" isn't always descriptive and doesn't always point out exactly where the problem is, and the site isn't geared for WordPress, but it has great potential.

I've found so many mistakes that I overlooked and boosted my SEO score quite a bit.

I also didn't realize how important social media is to get your site ranked and attract visitors. Sure, I knew social media was important, but Neil's blog on Quicksprout provides a wealth of information regarding SEO, keywords, social media, Google rankings, and much more.

The site also offers a free newsletter which so far is proving to be magnificent (and it's free!).

The newsletter and blog can benefit anyone with a niche website or any website to increase quality traffic and conversion, but also offers a lot more valuable information for those with a niche in being an affiliate.
