So since I woke up this afternoon (late night new years lol), I've been online looking for a site template for an existing site. I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to make this site better, as of matter of fact it would be best if I told you about it, huh? lol.

I launched Purple Bricks Studio in early October with underground artists in mind, not just musicians but visual artists, indie directors, writers, etc. The main purpose of this site is to provide resources such as tuts, news and products to help underground artists shine, maybe even connect with other users socially.

The problem I am running into is turning this site around, maybe adding a review page for products and services, placing previews of posts on the front page, etc.

I would love to know how to monetize it beautifully, creating a more esthetically looking site. How can I do this?

If this was your site, how would you showcase it? What I have in mind is a mag style so all the categories can be shown properly and of course, create some reviews for products so I can make some money.

I might move this to the forum for further assistance but I'll start here. Your critiques are GREATLY appreciated and trust me, FEEDBACK IS WELCOMED NO MATTER HOW YOU PROVIDE IT. Bring it on! Thank you all!

You know, I actually REALLY like your site's layout. Here's 1 piece of criticism (since you asked) - I like the "slideshow" at the top, but I was a little "lost" as to the purpose of your site there for a minute. It seemed to me like your website was all about learning CS5 because of the slide and the call to action. Then slightly lower down, you've got "Be bold..." etc, but they're not really calls to action. Basically as a first-time visitor to your site I felt a little lost. You've got to give users as much instruction as you possibly can to help them navigate your site and find what they're looking for.

Hope this helps!
