The joy of being part of the WA community
I'm so excited about how much I've learnt within Wealthy Affiliate and how much I've learnt about becoming part of an online community.
I've always had an aptitude for technology and the web so it's been great to be able to broaden my horizon by creating my own sites, getting into blogging and affiliate marketing. I've was blogging for a while before joining WA when I started to notice all of the affiliate marketing that was going on on other people's sites so I thought I'd do some research into it. That's how I happened upon WA. I am so glad I found this place!
The community
I love the community and how we're constantly reminded to help each other. Even if it's just giving someone a pat on the back. I'm normally not a social media person, generally just sticking to my own devices and not having every person and their dog know about my business. But boy have I changed! I actually can't stay away now and have found that my real life full time job is just getting in the way! Dammit! Oh well hopefully this will become my job at some point.
I also love that I've been able to interact with people from all over the place, particularly finding some fellow Aussies here! That's when I know that this really is a global community.
The learning
I'm also loving the learning here at WA. I finished a degree in the last few years and just finished another one year course a week ago because I love to learn. But I'm so happy now to have the time to spend on, and in, WA. The training is excellent and I love listening to Kyle in the videos too! Quite a soothing and gentle tone - ok this is getting weird so I'll get off that topic...
The helping
It's terrific to get all the help you need within the community so that it's not necessary to look for help outside, but I also can't wait until I can help others. As I've mentioned in another post, I love to to teach. I'm excited right now because I just managed to answer someone's request for help. It was the first time I felt confident enough to be able to respond and know that I'm starting to get the hang of things around here. I've created a couple of posts on tips for writers and that was great to be able to do (if you're interested in learning about some simple grammar, here are the links: Tip for writers - there, their they're and Tip for writers - It's and Its).
Anyway, that's just me blabbering away about myself, but I imagine a lot of you are feeling the same about yourselves and the community.
So thanks Kyle and Carson. You've managed to get me hooked and that's a pretty good feat!
What do you all think? Same as me?
Mila

Absolutely love it here!
I love that you mentioned you love to teach and that you finally got to help someone else. You helped me see a benefit of the community I never thought about before.
Not only is the community a great place to learn about building an online business, it is also a fantastic place to learn how to teach as well.
Thanks for sharing, your post taught me something too ;) It's great to be part of this community with you!
Hey Mila. Just wanted to be the first to comment...yaay, lol. And yes, and yes and yes and yes...same as YOU, I'm hooked as well. The members here are really warm and helpful. I'm just happy to be a part of the WA family to be honest. It definitely feels like home here to me.
So I say. Keep producing these lovely articles Mila and I'll read them...:)
To making friends while building new bridges,

Hi Mila,
Yes I agree with you 100%, I love it here too!
I'm glad you stumbled upon WA via one of my links ;) I guess that proves the whole system works provided you do the training and take action!
We sound very similar, I usually like to keep to myself and I'm not big on social media but that has changed a bit since joining WA! lol
Thanks and good luck, TJ
Thanks for reading my post TJ, and I'm glad I somehow stumbled upon your link! Mila
