Easy to make bottons for your widgits
So you might me trying to tweak your website and might want some cool or cute buttons to put on your page or widgets. However you may NOT be a great photoshop user, or maybe your just lazy right now and you can't bear for the regular look. Okay lets do it too it.
So first I want you to go to DryIcons.com and simply go through the free catalog of icons. Then after you have found a few you like download them in dot(PNG) format since they match to your background easier in that format. They come compressed so unzip them and there ready to be used.
Now you may be wondering now that I have all these pictures what do I do with them, or how do i use them. Now if you want to use them in your page all you have to do is simply add them to your media(use a size you feel comfy with), then place them on your page. Now at this stage all they are are pictures on your page, all you have to do now to turn them into buttons is use the insert or edit link button in the visual editor. You do this by clicking the pic clicking the edit link button and using a link you want.
Now if you wish to use them in your widgets its a little more tricky. You may not know this but normally you can't add rich text to a widget :(. To get around this you have to install a plugin called 'Black Studio TinyMCE Widget(BSTW)'. Now this plugin will allow you to add rich text and pictures to your widgets. All you have to do is go to widgets in appearances and drag and drop the 'BSTW' in the area you need it. Once done you can turn those icons into buttons like above. This method does not work for custom papal buttons.
To make paypal buttons you have to add your button to media, copy the image location by right clicking on it and add that location to the required feild in papal button creation. just add the code you get from paypal to your widget or page in html or plan text editor and it should come up. To align these button requires some understanding of html code which you will have to figure out...... Not to leave you all out on a limb here is one way to do it:
<div align="center"> Code Here </div> simply sub the center for alignleft or alignright.
So happy customizing and coding depending on how far your willing to go :)
