Pages getting indexed

I just found out that seven out of my 14 pages are indexed on google! I submitted Sitemaps a little over a week ago. I got my site indexed easily, but for some reasons getting individual posts indexed wasn't happening.

I investigated yesterday and it turned out google saw my posts and assumed they weren't meant to be indexed for some reason. I had to go through all the posts and manually submit each one to request for indexing.

Today I checked the status on my posts. To my surprise half of them were already indexed! I wasn't expecting them to get indexed so soon.

Has anyone else experienced problems with google thinking your pages don't want to be indexed? I'm sure I'm not the on,y one who has to manually submit each page to request it being indexed.

Glad you are getting the posts indexed now. I have had some posts that I wrote over a year ago, just get indexed!

Not sure why that happened, but the more I write posts, the quicker they seem to be indexed...

Keep up the great work!

Hi Lex,
I always manually submit mine. Although I have my settings set to submit automatically.
Manual submission should not be regarded as a chore, there are a lot of analytics there to look through.
Even at this early stage you should be checking them out. They can give vital information to you about your site. Alt tags missing, too many H1 titles.
I am thinking you meant 14 pages and posts. 3 pages is usually enough for the average website. All the rest should be posts.
You may find this link useful. I only put it up yesterday. Regards,
Michael.

That seems to be common... at least with me. I have a sitemap and am finding that I still need to submit individual pages. I am still looking into figuring out why that is. Anyway, just thought I would let you know, you aren't alone. :-)

I wish you the best!
Bob
