Putting Financail Handcuffs on Lawmakers !

Most lawmakers believe that it is reasonable to burden our society with additional debt so that our society will be protected from all eventuality of possible danger. Truly this is faulty thinking. Would they do the same for their families, NO. Will they protect their families, YES to the point they feel it is reasonable as a parent, spouse and homeowner, with an ever present concern about how they will afford the amount of protection they feel is justified..

Some economist believe it is necessary to borrow money to help their community develop into a thriving and energized place to live and work. My thinking is that the present emergency was not planned for. If the planning was done beforehand than the emergency would not have happened. Along with better planning we need to decide what limits we are going to apply to all potential problems that we have as a community. Once the planning and limitations are decided than we can produce a budget that will be accurate and prevent the additional borrowing of money. Yes the budget may require additional taxes or not, it depends on how the limits are set.
