Just got notified that I am ineligible to receive associate fee because my friend/relatives just use my link thru my website to access Amazon and ordered different kinds of pro
It actually makes a lot of sense if you think about it , otherwise everyone would join as affiliate and essentially flush their purchases through a family member to get their kickback. I did one do not want family and friends anywhere near my affiliate links because I don’t want amazon giving me the stink eye lol
Hi Christina,
So we gonna put in our sites "beware family, friends
& neighbors" ..Lol !
What do you think ?
Helen
Lol I have yet to have that issue because I have not shared my actual site anywhere my family and friends would see it. All my social media profiles are created separately. Of it hits page 1 of google then I may have a issue there but by than I will probably just tell everyone to stay away from my links ..... anything they need I can always just send them not affiliate style lol.
Hey Helen,
This is why we have been advised to read over the rules of any affiliate program we wish to associate ourselves with. What you experienced is covered in the affiliate rules for Amazon. Please see screen print below.
Here are the Associates Program Policies: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/help/operating/policies
Hope this helps you.
Hello Triblu,
Appreciate for this information very helpful. I was not able to read all their associate program policies for much excitement of having an account as associate. I will go over everything now so this won't lead to the same human error. Lesson learned for the day :)

Helen
Hey Helen,
I was told that even if a neighbour clicked on and purchased from my Amazon link(s) they too would not qualify for payment. Am guessing there have been far to many con affiliates in the past else this would not have to be a policy. It's like anything else... when any advantage is taken on a good thing, rules get applied.
Ohhh! really a neighbor also an issue for them?
Poor associates then...soooo much to think about.!
Anyways, this is it ..take it or leave it!
Thanks,
Helen
Again Helen, (and Christina too) this was told to me verbally by someone who is NOT connected with Amazon.
It's not a matter of "poor associates" as it is that too many affiliates were simply gaming the system, and that is NOT what being an affiliate is all about.
Real honest to goodness work on our part is by providing content that actually helps others, and it is the best way of earning money for being an associate.
Personally, I find it's a bit of a "high" being rewarded for sharing info that helps others, simply because that is what my personal blog is for... sharing helpful info with others.
I'll be watching this one. I got the same notification too on some of my sales. I don't understand why or what the issue is. It would be great to get some answers because this doesn't seem right. We can't control who comes to our site and buy.
Hi Genelda,
You're correct! we are not always there to monitor who gives us clicks and buy something thru our site.
What I understand that if you're an associate you are entitled to some % no matter who visits your site and buy.
Thanks!
Helen
I have not experienced anything like that before only because I have not made a sale as of yet. But that does not seem right though that does not make any sense. Keep me posted I would like to know the answer to this question myself.
Hi Marmar,
Oh yeah! I am also very eager to know because what is the use of driving traffic to your website and if ever they will give you a "click" you have nothing then. It's confusing on my part being an associate/affiliate.
Sure I will keep you posted.

Is it advisable to incorporate WA banners with your affiliate links in one of your page/post? What will be the correct ways to have referrals so that the page can also monetize
Hi Helen,
You can add WA banners and/ or affiliate links to any page you like. However, I would NOT be putting WA affiliate links within every page or post. Not at all.
What I would be doing, is linking internally to your WA review from your individual pages/ posts. Which will then contain your WA affiliate links.
This will be much better for SEO. And the WA Bootcamp walks you through this so this is what you want to be following to promote WA.
Hope this helps!
Hi Tim,
Well said, appreciate for your endless support and hope you
all the best on your business.

Hey Helen,
Here is a great tutorial to help you with using your WA affiliate links: WA affiliate links and banners
Hi Triblu,
What I am asking is, if it is advisable to have banners in one of your page. Will it be an issue with our google account?
Helen
Only if you start placing ANY affiliate link "above the fold"... meaning that you should make sure your website visitors will need to scroll to see your first affiliate link. I have also been advised to only use 3 affiliate links per post.
So, we can also integrate WA banners in our post, aside from affiliate links of merchant? Want to hear advise about this.
Helen
Yes, that is all covered in the tutorial that I included in my original comment. Where are you in the training?
Ah OK, I am still on lesson 3 task 21, I have touch lesson 4 task 19, i am stuck creating my google accounts, etc.
thanks for your concern, more power!

Hi Everyone,
I am wondering if this is normal for Site Rubix to pop up that every time I send PM to my close friends to visit my website what they see is Site Rubix page
Definitely try contacting SiteSupport. Your domain must have the siterubix in the web address such as YOURDOMAIN.SiteRubix.com - you may also not have connected your built website to the SiteRubix domain? A lot of things I think SiteSupport can help you with - they always know the right questions to ask . . Good luck!
Hi TCC,
I have not tried yet to ask help from tech support but I will if I can't see answers on this issue here in the community.
Thanks for the insight.
Helen
It may be that because it's a .siterubix.com site that that is the normal behavior - let me check with my site. Nope, I get there just fine - I'm with Len, contact SiteSupport.
Yes, I am still with siterubix.com site, but if this is their normal behavior at least I know now.
Ok thank you and goodluck on your business.
