One Thing at a Time
So glad to be making progress and enjoying the process! I picked the hummingbird for my profile because I liked the photo and didn't have one of myself on file. It has turned out to be an appropriate image for my activity here at WA!
I'm always quickly visiting the different areas of this site to get the info, encouragement, and inspiration I need to proceed. I flit in and out of the chat room and while I get discouraged sometimes because I don't understand the jargon-I'm helped when I settle there for awhile. For instance, yesterday someone was recommending that we have 6 posts in the works at all times. I thought that was great advice and I remember someone else saying she had THOUSANDS of words prepared for her site.
Since the importance of content has been drilled into us so often, I decided to focus on that for the time being and settle down a bit with the other stuff. I had started to think about creating a second website before the first one is even up!
It's great to set goals but there's no need to rush things. For me at least!
Thanks folks for all of your help and support -especially to beginners like me. Couldn't do any of this without you!

I agree that focusing on content should be my priority today especially since I'll be going away. The other things are important too but it's easy to get so diverted that the writing suffers.
