I'm looking for a traffic monitoring system, any suggestions?
Apart from Google's Search Console I use Wordfence plugin's Live Traffic feature. I like to see how people navigate around my website and where they came from.
Google Analytics is fine, but I am looking for something in addition. I will try the Wordfence plugin,
Thanks for assistance all.
Leif
I am not sure what type of traffic monitoring system you are looking for but Have you tried Google Analytics?
Here is the tutorial from Kyle Manually Adding Google Analytics to Your Website And the Google insights plugs will tell you how many visitors came to your site but, of course its another plugin that will be added to your site.
I hope this helps

Free traffic monitoring systems or doesn'cost a bundle?

Google Analytics will give you more information about traffic and visitors than you thought was possible, but it requires some nerdy knowledge to dig into the depths of Analytics.
So tools like Wordfence Live Traffic like Marion mentions can be of good help.
There are also many others, both free and paid, that let you tap into Google Analytics and display the data in an understandable manner.
