Authoring & Writing Content

When I want to write posts for my blog. From the first draft till the finished result takes me many hours. I hear people say that they can finish a post in an hour or two. Is

I'm a writer first and foremost, and I can write a decent, well researched 1000 word article covering a topic I'm familiar with in 1.5 to 2 hours. If I'm writing an ebook, it tends to be faster - around 1000 words an hour. But I've been doing it for years.

I agree with the others. You'll get faster. Don't obsess over how long it takes you. Firstly, focus on the quality of your content, because if it's bad, you won't achieve anything. So if you write 1k words in 45 minutes, but it doesn't offer your reader value, you've wasted 45 minutes of your precious time.

If you find you procrastinate, firstly plan out your content - get a content calendar together. Before you start your scheduled article, write a brief outline. What subheadings, topics, and sub themes do you want to cover? Then it's just a case of filling in the blanks. You're guiding yourself through a piece of useful, structured content. :)

2-3 hours for about 1000 words including adding pictures. It used to take me twice that long. Like everyone is saying you get better and faster at it the more practice you have. Keep on writing!

Thanks. I hope I get better at it too. It's amazing that you can put out content so fast. I liked your site. :)

Through practice, Leah. As you continue to write more and more, things start to flow much easier.

thanks

I outsource and get a cheap article article writer then I fix it up I pay for brainstorming lol I suck at writing content but I can fix someone else go figure

It gets faster over time I have noticed. I can write quicker than when I first started. However, it depends some on the yopic. A general topic where I just write without creating tables or looking up references goes pretty quick. Some posts easily take 3-4 hours or more.

For me it depends. Some product reviews take me an hour or two; but there are some that I've never heard of that require me to do extensive research that can take me anywhere from two to four hours. I think the best thing to do is designate a day of the week where you come up with topic and title post ideas for each day, that way you're not looking for topic ideas and keywords when you could be writing.

It's just a matter of practice more than anything else.

But have a look at this training for an very good way to structure your posts and break it down into sections . So you stop thinking of it as one long piece of writing . . .

some posts take longer than others, for me. Product reviews are usually pretty quick. And, they do get easier to write the more you do. Stick with it, you'll get it.

Yes, it's possible. But not for me. It took me 2 days to finish my newest post. My other posts took 3 -5 days. I just can’t get rid of the distractions :-D

That's the biggest obstacle in this business. Working from home and being online causes many distractions. Best of luck staying focused.

Couldn't agree more! Thanks =)

Yes, the biggest obstacle is distractions. I am still treating my blog like a hobby when I really should be thinking of it more like a business (If that's what I want it to become, after all).

Thanks for letting me know that it takes you time too. We will get there, we just need to persevere.

I configured the custom DNS servers on NameCheap and confirmed that the domain is indeed set up and connected with WA's servers.

When I go through "Buid My Website" here o

The website is up and running!

It takes up to 12 hours to connect the two. I suggest you wait and try again in about 4 hours..that's how long it took for mine to connect.

Thank you. I will wait and try again

Hi! Has anyone heard of World Niche?http://www.worldniche.com/ This seems to be another market place like clickbank wi

Hi Leah, only thing I can tell you right now is that they are not accepting affiliates. I did not find any complaints on them, but is a moot point at this time. Best wishes on your endeavors

oh that's funny, I did just notice they are not accepting anyone new at the moment. Today I came to realize that there are MANY affiliate platforms to choose from.
Thank you very much for you help
