When The Smoke Clears

Well it's Labour Day Weekend and I am sitting here in the Okanagan Valley in south central British Columbia. This area has been slammed by wildfires for a good majority of the summer. The area in which I live is normally quite picturesque with mountains surrounding a beautiful lake. With all the wildfires, the thick smoke has obscured this view and we have not been able to enjoy it for a good part of the summer.

Although a sunset shot, this is normally what I get to look at every day. Right now I can barely make out the lake due to the smoke and the mountains are totally obscured. It has been a frustrating summer. Today it hit me that if I am patient (not one of my stronger traits) the smoke will eventually clear and once again I will be left with the beautiful panoramic view that I enjoy.

The same can be said about our venture here at Wealthy Affiliate. The beautiful view is of course the end result which is to make money right? The smoke is all the training and hard work that goes into creating and building a website. Like in my situation, eventually the smoke will clear and you will be left with the beautiful view to enjoy.

I am not too sure why, but this analogy hit me like a ton of bricks today while sitting on my deck with my morning coffee grumbling about the smoke. It was one of those A-HA moments and had to share.
