New to This - How I Ended-up at WA
It's been about 2 weeks since I joined WA. In those two weeks, I haven't been able to make any money, but what I have gained is much more valuable.
I spent the first week working through the free training, feeling skeptical to say the least. I pushed through the skepticism knowing that internet marketing is a skill that I need to improve and a training program like this is exactly what will teach me those skills.
Let me digress...
I am a 35yo single dad of 2 that has been struggling for a few years. In my teen years I was dived deep into graphic design, web design, video editing, and music production. After bouncing around my first couple jobs which included cleaning banks after hours and serving food at restaurants, I fell into a position with a construction company where I spent the next 10 years.
In 2008, in an attempt to transition out of the construction industry, I enrolled myself at University of Phoenix for a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree. I continued to work construction as I earned my degree. In 2010 my son was born which changed everything.
2008-2010 was hit-and-miss as my construction job seemed to be seasonal due to weather. In turn, I was getting laid off every winter. When my son was born I decided to study and apply for my CA General Building Contractors License, knowing that if I was in control of the work, I could ensure that I stay busy. I got my license in 2012, just after graduating with my degree and just after my daughter was born.
I was able to do what I set out to do, which was provided for my family, but it came at a cost. Long story short, things got very stressful, I was coming home frustrated and unable to enjoy time with my kids, and my relationship was falling apart. In 2018, she ended up leaving us and I was stuck, depressed, with no job, and 2 kids to take care of. We ended up getting an eviction notice and I had to lean on my mom for help.
The last four years have been crazy. I have worked a number of jobs including Lowes' Home Improvement - Pro Services, signing people up for free government phones, Doordash and other gig jobs, delivering medical marijuana, growing medical marijuana, and construction project management.
Jan 2022 I got full custody of my kids, no more weekends only!!! Unfortunately, the living situation I was in did not take having my kids full time into account. My only option was to move, and the only option for moving was out of state.
So, here I am, been living in Washington since September. Got a project management job that didn't work out. But now I found WA...
So, after that first week in the training and talking with some members who were reaching out, I decided to invest (what feels like the last of what I have) into myself. I am very glad I made that decision because what I have learned, not only from the training but from the research I've been doing in my niche, has given me a new perspective.
I know that it takes time and hard work to get results, what makes the difference is if you enjoy the journey. There has been something missing from my life for a long time. For a while I thought I was losing creativity. In reality, I was just so lost in the sauce of all the options that are available that I couldn't focus. I've been reclusive on social media feeling like I have nothing to share.
In reality, I haven't been doing things that are in line with my beliefs and how I want to live my life. It's time to take the reins and not only give myself the life I want but provide the life for my kids that I've always imagined.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
Big thanks for those who have showed encouragement!
Happy Holidays!
Luke

Welcome to WA.
You've had quite a journey. I applaud your resourcefulness as you seek better for yourself and children.
The training here will give you great outlines for implementing website(s) that will be a great complement for who you are and your passions. Best to target niche areas you are interested in as you will shine through as the expert you are there.
I look forward to watching your journey unfold here as we travel it together. Reading of your success over time.
Regards,
Jason
