Hi Guys,

I tried to login to my Amazon Associates account a couple of days ago and i got this error...

"The e-mail/mobile number you are using is not connected to

Yep, Diane covered it. I would just rejoin as you can keep doing it!

Thanks Mike.

Hi - that is typically the message you get when you have failed to meet their target of attaining 3 sales in your first 180 days. Usually, there is a link in the email to allow you to rejoin the program.

However, you will be given a new ID, all your old links will no longer work, you will have to swap them over.

Thank you Diane, much appreciated. However I did not receive any emails from Amazon.

Hi - that's odd. Have they gone to your spam folder? They would have also sent you a warning at the 90-day stage. Plus, they send regular emails regarding changes to their terms and conditions, so you need to make sure that you have the right email address associated with them, so as not to break any of their strict rules!

Anyway, in effect, you will be starting again with them, so you should be able to open a new account. This is assuming you now have enough traffic to make the sales target.

My site is 6 months old and not generating much traffic (around 400 per month). Would you suggest I wait before opening a new account with Amazon?

Well, it's your decision obviously. Remember, you will get a further 6 months to make 3 sales, so assuming you are continuing to add good content, your traffic should rise within that period.

If you have reviews that are based on Amazon products, then obviously, you won't get any commission if somebody does purchase something until you re-join.

So, you could either wait and accept that you won't earn anything or re-join and hope you get enough traffic in the next 6 months to meet the target.

And another option, is to see if the products are available elsewhere with a different affiliate program that doesn't have a sales target, and will probably have a higher commission rate as well.

Wow! Thank you so much for this valuable information 🙏. It means a lot.

Hope you have a fabulous day.

I thought that it was 3 sales in 3 months (90 days) for Amazon or did they change the rules?

Thanks!

Darlene

I'm not sure what rules were but I had my account for 6 months before they closed it.

Awesome! They’ve become more lenient than when I was first starting!

Hi - it's currently 3 sales in 180 days. Amazon often changes its rules!

Thank you! You just made my day! It’s never felt so good to be wrong 😂
