Progress report after about a month with WA

I'm wrapping up Lesson 10 of Course 2, and thought I'd give a quick summary of what I've accomplished in the little over a month since signing up for the 2 free websites with Wealthy Affiliate.

• Became a Premium Member
• Transferred 2 domains to WA for hosting
• Mental note to transfer domain renewal when the time comes
• Found a theme for my primary website, which is a portfolio site to showcase my copywriting work with nonprofits
• found a few cool plugins to enhance the look and feel of my theme
• learned how to ask for and make comments on fellow WA members posts and pages
• splashed my bio pic and site links all over the internet via comments
• made the acquaintance of many like-minded entrepreneurs
• put my Google+ account to good use finally
• and a few other things I can't think of at the moment

While there's still work to do on the skeleton of my site - add images of my past copywriting letters, emails, and landing pages for my clients in the nonprofit sector; figure out how to adjust some CSS coding in several images; and add a few pages to complete my Writing Services section - I'm very pleased with the rapid progress and how many low-hanging-fruit keywords I've uncovered so far.

I;m still not certain if it's appropriate to cross-promote other products as an affiliate, while presenting myself as a writing professional, but I know others do so, and I've been studying their low-key, mutually beneficial sales funnels.

As for the other domain, I hope to sell physical products - wall decor for people who are into science - but that's a ways down the road still.
