Advice Sought: Which App Should I Use?
I have been sent a file with a .rar (dot rar) ending with about 230mbs of pictures for my website, my laptop (a standard windows Dell) is telling me that none of the apps on my laptop can open this folder/document & I need to download an app to do so.
Can any of the fantastic WAmily members suggest which one I might best use please?
Thanks in anticipation for your advice.
Best Regards,
Keep hunting for that new cheese!

Hi Trevor, I see Isaiah has given you an option of unzipping the rar files.
Depending on your operating system here is a link to the program I use to unzip my files. I use the free version by the way.
https://download.cnet.com/WinRAR-64-bit/3000-2250_4-10965579.html
If you are uploading these images to your site you can go into word press>upload files and it will upzip it for you.
I would suggest you unzipping the files first so you can upload the images you like through upload media content for images.
Best wishes,
Michael
I had no idea they were zip files, thank you so much all of you for your helpful advice. WA and members like you are truly awesome ! Thank you.
Have a wonderful day and keep safe.

Yes, as others have mentioned, use 7-zip to open the .rar folder.
