The Learning Curve at Wealthy Affiliate
When I first joined Wealthy Affiliate a few weeks ago, I knew there would be a learning curve. What I didn't know was how steep that learning curve would be. As I started to go through the courses, I realized there was a lot more to learn about affiliate marketing than I initially thought. This is especially true when it comes to building a website. This has presented the biggest challenge for me. Learning how use wordpress.com and trying to decide what theme to use, how I want to setup my website, and maneuvering through the software has been the most challenging so far. I find myself constantly changing things hoping make a better site. Things got to the point whereby I ended up trashing my original website and rebuilding it from scratch. Things turned out a lot better and I found myself being able to maneuver myself through site a lot easier. I now believe that I will be able to get my website built.
The more I looked around at what other members of the community have accomplished, I realize how much more I have to learn. When I first joined WA I was impressed by the support of it's members. As I've looked more and more at their accomplishments (blogs and websites) I've come to realize that there are some very intelligent and talented people here. I'm hoping to learn enough so that one day I can be one of those individuals. I know that there is a process to go through to get to where I want to be and its going to take time, patience and persistence to get there. For me this is a new experience. I've been involved with taxes for over 40 years. I've spent the last 28 years running my own tax business. I figure if I can learn about taxes, I can learn just about anything. My immediate goal is to try and have my website up and running within the next month. And, I'm going to try and do whatever it takes to accomplish that.
