Grab the Bulls By The Horn. Or Something Like That.

Four days ago, I got up at my usual time and, like always, the first thing I did was check all my websites to see if anything was scheduled to post that day.
To my shock, two of my sites looked like a total mess. Pictures were all over the place, out of proportion, and basically just… garbled.
That first day, I figured it might have been my last theme update causing the problem, so I started troubleshooting. I went through the usual drill — deactivating plugins one by one, reactivating them to see if that fixed it. No luck.
Next, I went into my media files, re-optimized the images, refreshed the pages, and everything looked fine. I thought, “Great, problem solved.”
The next morning? Same mess again. That’s when I decided to put in a support ticket, because I honestly had no clue what was going on. My gut told me it had something to do with recent server upgrades.
By the third day, I still hadn’t heard back from support, so I went back to tinkering. I repeated the same troubleshooting steps, Googled possible fixes — still nothing. The part that really got me was, why only these two sites and not the others?

So I went into Site Manager and started checking every setting across all my sites. I hit “Refresh” on every one, and sure enough, the same two sites were still broken. Then I clicked over to the “Details” tab and combed through every setting.
Boom — there it was. The two problem sites had SiteSpeed turned ON with the caching option set to Extreme Mode.
I switched both of them over to “Accelerated” mode, refreshed the pages, and like magic… problem solved.
The thing is, I’ve had those settings from day one. My guess is one of the recent server upgrades finally decided it didn’t like “Extreme Mode.”
Lesson learned: sometimes you just have to roll up your sleeves and figure it out yourself, because waiting on help sometimes doesn't come.
I am not writing this to bad mouth support. They have gotten back to me in previous problems, so this 1 time of not answering did not bother me.
My main purpose of writing this is because if this happened to me, it could happen to you too. Make sure your settings are not on "Extreme"
You Got This!
