Commit, Identify, Focus, Succeed!
So here I am on August 7, after nearly a full month with WA. To date, I've done one blog and I'm ranking a whopping 2469. Instead of shaking my head, I'm writing with full disclosure and identifying my log jam and plan to succeed. Yes, I did have to slow down to take on an an impromptu contract, but you know, there was clearly no reason for me to be so far behind. Reasons yes, but only some of those that attritube to the low success rate of folks in home based businesses.
Here's my personal take on my snail's pace: I clearly saw the opportunity and value that WA offered ANYONE who wanted to have a successful online business. I attempted to move forward without committing to the process. Mind you, my lack of commitment was not intentional, but I absolutely did not define a space in my day that was lasar focused on unfolding my successful affiliate experience. Consequently, anyone or anything could fill my uncommitted space....inpromptu trips and events with my daughter, planning and having a bang up birthday party for her, buying the cute blouse that I bookmarked weeks ago.....you get the point.
So, here I am today August 7, having identified my absence of commitment, I'm present with a new conviction to experience absolute success! I encourage anyone just starting the process, or those who may be stuck, to identify anything (or anyone) who may serve as a road block. This may include your physical environment....do you have a dedicated work space that you identify with success? Do you need to clear clutter from your space? Do you have specific consistent time(s) dedicated to your learning, certification, blogging, website development, live chats and helping community members? Do you have time set aside to read/study personal development material? How about workout time and time to breathe deeply while visualizing your success? Next, have you identified/defined your goals and how you intend to arrive at them? I've committed to writing at least a blog each day and completing my first website by the end of this week (August 12). At the end of each day, I'll define and write my goals for the next day, review them before starting my day and dig in! These are just a few points that work remarkably well for me, when I apply them!
I, who have to use guerilla tactics to remain focused throughout my work day, commit to keeping any unneccessary tabs closed while I work. After all, I did order that blouse from a popup while on Facebook, when I was supposed to be on my affiliate bootcamp tab! I will preset my "in a meeting" message and return calls later. I also work by my window so that I can occasionally glance at my tree that's beautiful year 'round. This tricks my brain into believing that I've "gone somewhere," which satisfies my mind's tendency to wander. I can quickly refocus after taking a few deep breaths while savoring my view.
With all of the above said and done consistently with deep commitment, I can taste, touch, feel, hear and smell my success! I also share in the success of others who've committed, identified and focused. See you all on the inside!
