The week that was!
So I had grand plans to knuckle down last week and really focus on building content for my niche site.. Yet alas 10 days later and the progress bar hasn't moved at all! SO have I stopped moving forward in my journey and lost focus you ask! No, indeed not is the answer!
While the week that was, wasn't the week that was planned I am much further ahead in my understanding of how I can use the Internet to power my financial freedom than I was a week ago!
Instead of working on content for my site I have built a really nice e-commerce platform for my Fiance that just needs some content from her, I'm not at fault on this one :), to get it up and going. In the process I have learnt a lot about how wordpress works, how to use a bunch of different plugins, import themes from sites other than WA, how to customise page layouts, make different sidebars for different pages and a host of other new skills that will make my journey easier and more enjoyable. Ultimately I figure if my journey gets easier and my sites make me happier then the experience for the end user should be better and the traffic higher.. SO in the long run this week of my content creation might be the week that makes all the difference in my long term success.
I will look at making some trainings on some of the things I have learnt as I saw a lot of questions on some of these topics with a really wide variety of answers out there!
So I would like to finish with this thought for all of you!
Plans never survive first contact with the enemy!
Now a famous general said that a long time ago about battle plans, but the concept holds true for all plans! Which is why it is so important that you understand that we are on a mission with goals and milestones we all want to achieve, these are the important things to focus on, plans are flexible roadmaps to help us reach those goals and accomplish our missions!
Don't stress when you don't follow your plan to the letter, just ensure that every step you take, takes you closer to your goals and that way you will stay on mission!
Til next time.
Cheers
Grant
