Nearly About to Make Money!
Hi Everyone!!
Well, Remy and I have arrived at the end of Section 2 of the Training........About time we say!!
I have to admit that my boy (Remy) has been waiting for some time now for his dear Mother to catch up and get with it! Well here I am, Rem! I am pretty excited to be up to the stage of finding out how to make money from our sites. We both are!
Highlights of our time at WA so far :
- Meeting many beautiful and generous people!!. I have to say, too...There are so many really smart people here!!
- Reading some fascinating blogs! Everyone has something wonderful and unique to share!
- I love providing comments and feedback for people's websites! I find it entirely fascinating to see so many amazing topics and the different takes on so many subjects.
- The training has been step by step and easy to follow, just great and methodical.
- A big surprise has been how much I enjoy actually writing my articles (despite how long it takes me!)
- Learning with Remy :)
My biggest challenges have been in organising myself around family, home schooling commitments and activities, and my own energy levels. I also found it initially stressful the amount of time it took me to focus and write. I found it difficult to be clear about what I wanted to say! I wrote my first article in essay form, reminiscent of my university days!
I'm finding my groove a little more now and it seems that the more I relax, enjoy, and look forward to my writing, the easier it comes. It IS a practice, after all!
The other thing is that my immediate family are taking this a little more serious now that I have been doing this for a while and have not given up! (nor do I intend to, of course!! I am here for the long haul and to create an amazing online business!)
Just wanted to share my excitement in finally finishing part 2 of the Training, and I want to thank you all for being so supportive, encouraging, helpful, and positive!!
Thank you SO MUCH!! You are all amazing!!
Much happiness,
Lyndal and Remy :)

High 5 to you both.
I'm at the same point too, hasn't it been great.
I'm going to have to timetable my time on WA it is so easy to spend the whole day in here!
Great to hear of your success.
Well done
Kind wishes to you both
Daisy
Thanks, Daisy!! Yes, it really has been great!! Haha, it is good fun too, I know what you mean!
Kind wishes and much happiness to you too!!
Yay to both of you. 'Yay' in this instance involves me raising both arms into the air, a celebratory one. You are doing exactly what is right for you. Everyone's circumstances are different in regard to other commitments. It's very easy to become frustrated, not being able to allot the time you want.
Someone gave me a simple yet invaluable nugget of wisdom in their reply to one of my posts. "Write when you're in a good mood" I took that and ran with it. Up to that point I was trying to write when the opportunity was afforded to me, regardless of my mood, never good.
Now, if I'm not 'In the right place' I find something else constructive to do. Yesterday I had the house to myself, pretty much, so I was able to go for it, uninterrupted. Bliss.
Having the support of those around you is a massive bonus. Looking forward to your next update. Be well.
Great advice! Elizabeth Gilbert’s book “Big Magic” really helped me to understand the difference between creating/writing when inspired and creating/writing using discipline. Both have their place. Obviously inspired writing is always best but inspiration can still speak when you allocate the time and when you actually do the work 👍
Thank you so much, Twack! It is really nice to have supportive 'Yay's'!!
Yeah, frustration has certainly been there, but has been part of working things out, changing perspectives and moving comfort zones.
Love your wisdom nugget! It certainly makes a huge difference to write while you are in a good mood, I agree! Your perspectives are really helpful. I have a tendency, which I'm addressing, to push and push for the sake of not giving up, even when something is clearly not working. Waaah! Giving up really has its place, lol !
Thanks again, Twack, for reading my post and leaving such a great comment!!
Lyndal and Remy :)
You're very welcome, I think you've got it all covered. I'm not sure I'd manage doing this a few years ago, the last of my brood is just finishing final exams. That will be all four out of school, not sure I'll be able to retire the taxi service just yet though.
Milestone, Twack! 4 out of school! R they all still at home? That taxi service is iconic, haha
Last exam for the youngest tomorrow. Yes, all still at home, although one is at University and comes back for the holidays. I'm sure this will stay the same for a few years yet. Expensive to try and move out and live on your own.
Hope the last exam went really well for your youngest!!
I hope mine stay at home as long as possible!!!
Yay Lyndal!! It has been so fun meeting you through this program. Your writing style is similar to mine. I tend to get in a flow and then my posts are so long, I end up separating them into two posts (and this week, I separated my post into 3 posts, 2 of which I posted which still ended up being over 2000 words, the other one I am drafting maybe for next week). I’m surprised at how much I love writing too! Anyway, keep in touch and keep us posted. Excited to see us both making money soon x
Ohhhh, thank you, Stranger! Lol, you were certainly uppermost in my mind as I wrote this post! And you are so inspiring! Haha...that's a little laugh WITH you, not AT you re your flowing posts! Will definitely keep in touch. Bring on the $$$$$$'s!! x
