How did I get so lucky?.
Life is good
Today I wanted to write a short post expressing some gratitude.
Life can be tough. There are daily obstacles and other people can be challenging. All of this means that I can become focussed on what is difficult about life.
However, I was sitting here looking out of my window onto my garden. I’m not wealthy (yet!), but I do have a little garden at the back of my flat. It’s summer time and the garden is green. There is a peach coloured rose tree that climbs up the garden gate. It looks beautiful.
I’m tapping away at my computer. I’ve had enough food to eat today, I’m healthy and I have a roof over my head. Really, that means that I have A LOT.
Getting the balance right:
It’s good to strive for things. I’m a single parent and my income is not sufficient. I need to earn more if I’m going to keep my head above water and that is partly why I joined WA.
But at the same time, it’s important not to spend too much time thinking about what I don’t have. Today I had enough to get by, and I have a lovely rose tree outside my window. It’s worth taking sometime to enjoy that.
I think what I’m saying is, that it’s good to have ambition and strive for things, but it’s important to value what you already have. I don’t want my efforts to build a business for myself to cast a shadow on what is great about what I have today.

Powerful motivation. As someone who has seen 6 months as a homeless family, and who is currently struggling after health issues sidelined my business to getting back to self-sufficient, I can agree. We have too many blessings to take them for granted and a stop to admire what we have is a grand stop indeed.

It all to easy to focus on all that you don’t have and this ultimately will only draw more of the things you don’t want into your life. I like that you said how you don’t want to spend too much time thinking about what you don’t have. By thinking about more of the things you already have and are grateful for, you will attract more of those things to you!
Thanks for sharing,
Michelle
My thoughts exactly Michelle, thanks for reading!
