My Progress on WA

It has been 2 weeks since I became a Premier member and all I can say is “What a whirlwind”. So much to learn and so many thoughts going through the mind. In that time, I feel I have had fun and made a significant amount of progress along the way. I don't see it as a chore because hat I am doing involves my passion.

I have selected a niche and learned how to research keywords and create blog posts containing those keywords, but I am not where I need to be creating plenty of content. Another area which I haven’t yet scratched is social media. I know I have a lot to learn in creating accounts that interest people. I will need a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. presence, but I am not sure how to do that. I am virtually inactive on social media, but I will get out of my comfort zone and tackle these. In time, I will get those methods down as well.

To date I have created 4 posts and 3 have been indexed by Google. I am fairly certain the 4th will as well since it is a fairly new post. Good progress certainly.

I did spend a fair amount of time getting my site up and running so it was at least presentable and that there were no broken links. Because of this, I wasn’t able to focus on creating content. Hopefully, I will get into a rhythm and the posts will gain in frequency. I never saw myself as a blogger, but I have started this journey and I will stick to it.

My posts are based on my experience and represent an honest narrative of what I wish someone had shared with me when I started cooking. My only concern is whether my posts impact enough people to take action so that I can achieve my goals. I guess time will tell and I may have to adjust the writing style. I won’t let pessimism get the better of me since I have committed to see this through and make course adjustments if my current approach isn’t getting results.

My goal for the next 3 months is to:

  1. Create enough content so I can be considered a trusted source for information and advice on cooking
  2. Set myself up with social media accounts to develop a community where members can share their thoughts and experiences.

In 6 months, I hope to be regularly communicating with my followers and making some income. I have signed up to be an Amazon affiliate and a couple of my posts have affiliate links to products for the kitchen. The cooking niche lends itself to promoting an unlimited number of kitchen products ranging in price from very cheap to very high end.

I am committed to the WA journey. It may take me a little longer than I would like, but I will see it to fruition. I will not lose hope. Best of luck to all of you wherever you are on your path to success.
