No Parking, Short term Parking, and Moving In the Right Direction
The other day I went shopping and I was downtown for about three hours. I went to the mall, the grocery store and did some window shopping. As I was walking around I kept noticing no parking signs. In the time I was out and about I noticed at least five no parking and a couple of short term parking. The short time parking was for loading and unloading parcels and packages. It made me think of the airports and the times that I have flown some where. Everyone is such a hurry to get there and get there luggage unloaded, so as to not miss their plane. Of course there are also those that just landed and want to get picked up and headed home.
It only takes a moment to get picked up or dropped off, but yet there is an insanity to the way that people react. If a person is not careful, they can get hit by anohter driver trying to park or by leaving there spot to allow someone else to park there. Extra cautious is espically needed if one wants to exit the terminal and go to short term of long term parking. Typically crosswalks are well marked but often it is taking one own life in there hands by attempting to cross.
Later I thought about the craziness of both the no parking and the short term parking and compared them both to starting a new business. Often at WA I have felt like I have been parked, (stopped at) no parking areas. It is as though my vechile is stalled and I am not sure as to what direction to go or which way to move. I realize that I should not be parked, (stopped there). I perhaps just need to pull over safely and get my barings and directions figured out as to where I am headed and the best way to get there. I also dont want to use the short term parking (being in my own way) and ran over by my own plans. I might just need to park in paid parking, ( a new way of thinking). That way I am safe and out of my own way but also being held accountable (by myself with the paid parking/financial loss or gain) I wont spend to much time with no actions, (my paid parking accountabilty) and I can get back on the road quicker and safer and know the direction I am going.

Amazing how so much of what we do we begin to compare to WA! I am beginning to believe that, in my life, WA is the foundation for everything that happen in the outside world.
I love the things our awesome members come up with to explain their progress here. Sometimes I need a new battery to jump start me out of my parking spot.
