That was unplanned...
I find it quite ironic that my targeted low hanging fruit keywords don't appear to do as well as blog posts that I made absolutely no conscious effort to 'optimise' for the search engines.
The low hanging fruits are doing okay on page 2 or 3, while my 'insightful strike' article - which was intended to simply fill out my website - was on page one. Part of the reason it did well was it happened to be a low hanging fruit, but it still managed to rank at page 3 for an average quality keyword.
Maybe I should just forget about SEO and keywords altogether...
That said, I'm getting more traffic (clicks) for my low hanging fruit keywords and the 'insightful strike' article was written in December so it has had time to bubble up to the surface.

Talking here in a block about a new post on my website, gives me a better ranking for this block (normally in a few hours on page one) and traffic via this to my website than most of my keywords. But I continue to believe that keywords are of primary importance.
That's great that you're getting noticed! Keep it up!
