Making smart choices

I'm a typical English guy from the UK and for many years like so many of us here, I have wondered whether I could make a living how I wanted to, work the hours I wanted to and have more quality time to do the things I enjoy but I never did anything about it.

I doubted my ability, the opportunity and considered it to big a hill to climb, to much to take in and that it was only clever people with degrees in computing, or those with huge sums to throw at it that could make money from the web.

Like so many out there I was wasting time and hours, days, weeks, years had passed me by and I had done nothing. I spent to much time on sites such as Facebook, Liveleak, Youtube etc. And for what? I didn't achieve anything other than lost valuable time which could have been spent changing my life. My wife and I would sit there in the evenings watching crap on the TV - it wasn't often that there was anything of true interest on there that I felt nourished me or my understanding of the world, or indeed on how to increase my income, generate a better life or take my destiny in to my own hands and become who I wanted to be.

The true road to success is you. There is no such thing as a free lunch, no one is going to come up to you and hand you a large cheque without doing nothing. I wasted money on the lottery in hope it would resolve all my issues and give me the wealth and life style I desired. Now that money goes here, on WA where I have control and the ability to make things happen. If you have any doubts about your ability then stop, take five, have a coffee and come back with the attitude that YOU CAN DO THIS! And go to the live chat, seek help on whatever field it is that's worrying you and get involved in the positives that are going on here.

There are many times when I've tried to make a go of events in the past, I would usually fall at the first or second hurdle, not know where to get help and give up with a heavy heart after investing time and money. With WA You know where to get help, right here! And don't give up just keep on trying - your effort and commitment is key.

Don't listen to those negatives! By that I mean people around you who will be keen to shoot your idea down before its even got off the ground. Why do they do this? A) Because they can't see themselves doing this B) You got to an idea first C) They enjoy bringing people down and D) Envy. You are doing something positive to change your life, whilst they are still just sitting around watching TV and surfing crap on the web - exactly as I did. In fact why tell them at all? Would telling your work colleagues and friends enrich your life if there's a chance they'll shoot you down? No.

We are all responsible for our own destinations - It is you, and only you can bring about change, make that change for the better.
