Why One Kre8or Should Not Be Able to Own the Feed.

Why One Kre8or Should Not Be Able to Own the Feed.

Two things this week. One shipped, one is an open question I want your input on.

Burst posting, and what Recent Drops is doing.

Someone sits down for an hour, gets into a groove, and posts fifteen images. Nothing wrong with that. But on a platform this size, fifteen posts from one person in one sitting means that for the next several hours, that person is most of what everybody sees.

That is bad for the community. It is also bad for the person who posted, which is the part people find counterintuitive.

When fifteen of your images land back to back, they compete with each other. Nobody stops fifteen times. They stop once, then their eye starts skipping because it has registered "same creator, seen it." Your fourteenth image is getting the attention left over from your first.

Recent Drops is the answer.

Recent Drops Example

Post a run of images in one session and they group into a single drop rather than stacking as fifteen separate posts. Everything inside stays fully interactive. People can still like, comment on, and remix each image individually. Nothing is hidden.

What changes is that your session arrives as a body of work instead of a flood. It occupies one strong position in the feed rather than fifteen weak ones.

Most of the refinement this week was invisible tuning: when a group forms, how a session gets detected, how drops are spaced so the feed keeps moving. If we got it right, you will not notice anything except that the dashboard feels less lopsided.

Feed ranking stays blind to membership tier, as it always has. Nobody buys their way up.

Shareability, which we have not built yet,.

This one is genuinely open, so I would rather ask than guess.

When something good happens to you here, there is no clean way to show it. You win a challenge, your entry ranks well, your image gets remixed twenty times, and the only thing you can share is the image itself. But the image is not the interesting part. Anyone can generate an image. The interesting part is that yours beat forty others in blind voting.

So we are looking at making outcomes shareable. The result, the rank, the standing, in a form you can put in front of people who are not on the platform yet.

Why that matters to you: the affiliate program pays 10% of lifetime value on anyone you bring in, plus referral credits. Beyond that, people who join through you tend to follow you, and a larger following on a platform with a working creator economy is a larger stake in it later. Payouts run through Stripe and require identity verification, and none of it is guaranteed income, but the mechanism favours people building an audience now rather than in a year.

What I want to know: what would you actually share? A win card, a rank, a before and after remix? Tell me in the comments, because this is being designed right now.

Challenges

Postcards From Nowhere closes in an hour. Last realistic moment to enter.

Next up is The Invention That Should Exist (just posted) with up to $450 in cash prizes depending on entry count. Invent the product that fixes one small everyday annoyance, and photograph it like it is already on sale.

That second one is a good challenge to bring people to. The brief needs no explanation and everybody instantly has an idea. Send your referral link and you are on 10% of their lifetime value from there.

Does the feed feel better than it did a week ago? If one creator still dominated your dashboard at some point, tell me when and what it looked like. That is a tuning problem I can act on, and also on the other end, if you feel your new posts aren't getting enough exposure, let me know. :)

And on shareability, what result would you actually want to show someone? The design is not locked.
