The Day My Life Changed...
Here is the ultrasound from 18 weeks.
My wife and I haven't found out whether it is a boy or a girl, we have left this to be one of the most precious surprises in life. :) She is currently 37.5 weeks along, so honestly this could be taking place any day now.
I just wanted to let everyone know, first, about this exciting news and the new member (and future WA'er) that is going to be arriving in the next few weeks.
But I also want to let everyone know that if I do a Houdini act (and disappear) for a week or so, this is likely why. I won't be around too much during the first week, so please bare with me in respect to my response times. I will do my very best though!
Thanks everyone and I definitely post an update when I have some "news"! :)

Oh Kyle.....CONGRATULATIONS to you and your wife.
What exciting news! I wish you all the best and can't wait to see pics when the little one is here!
Congrats again! :)))
Alright Bud, Way To Go!! You're gonna love every minute of it, enjoy! Congrats to you and your wife.
Careful, Kyle! We had five kids who generated 35 grandkids and they, in turn, have generated 18 great grandkids and that branch is still exploding with more on the way. Anyway, we are happy for you. Congratulations and may all go well! John
So based on this, I could in theory one day be responsible for 1,000's of people?
Thanks John, it is definitely going to be a change from life as I know it but I am definitely going to embrace every moment of it.
That's awesome! Ultrasound pics always make me teary. :-) Best wishes to you and your wife as you welcome this sweet baby into the world. You are strong people for waiting to find out if it's a boy or girl... I couldn't stand it - I had to know! So exciting!
Thanks a lot. Yeah, it is a lot more common up here in Canada for people to wait to find out (50% or so I would guess). A bit harder to be prepared in terms of nursery/clothing and for organization, but it will be a brilliant surprise!
Absolutely over the moon for you both Kyle...it will be the most amazing moment of your lives, and you are right to not want to know if it's a boy or a girl. Treasure the entire event, and most importantly, treasure each other for making it happen :)
Marcus
Thanks Marcus, means a lot man. I will definitely be hitting you up for some fatherly advice...the beautiful part about others experiencing it first! :)
