Crafting my AI Doppelgänger: A Quest to Decode and Elevate my Writing Style
Hello there folks!
Today, I want to share something a bit different, a bit personal, and dare I say a bit provocative?
What am I up to?
I am aiming to recreate my writing style using AI. Now, you might be wondering, "Kyle, why in the world would you want to do that?"
Let me tell you, it's about more than just writing here. It is about growth as a writer. It's about discovery. and it's about becoming a BETTER version of myself, which is something that AI allows for.
I make plenty of mistakes in my writing, and I am limited on the basis of my ability to research particular topics, and learn information. Limitations that don't have the same level of existence with AI, which I find very, very intriguing.
Intersecting Worlds: Writing Meets AI
I think we are all starting to understand the power of AI and we have been pretty big advocates of it up to this point (and that will continue to be the case).
Those smart little algorithms, along with heavy computing power, are turning our world upside down... and for writers like us that invest a lot of time into hammering on the keyboard, they're bringing in a new era. And here's where this could and will get very interesting.
By merging my writing style with AI, I'm exploring the undiscovered territory, venturing into the unknown.
Wouldn't it be amazing if we could enhance our talents, hone our skills, and push the boundaries of our own potential... just by understanding ourselves better, our technique, characteristics and capabilities?
What if I could take Kyle, and combine Kyle + all the knowledge in the world to make "Super Kyle".
That is just one of the things that is currently keeping me up at night, and that we are working to come up wth a solution for. AI is creating a whole world of capability to serve as an extension of our current skills.
What if you could become 5x better at something and 10x more productive and efficient. Wouldn't this be something that you would want to explore?
Getting Under My Skin: Decoding My Writing Style
So how am I going about this. Without being too specific with proprietary algorithms and projects we are working on, we are working to first decode what a writer is.
To recreate my writing style using AI, I have to be able to understand it... and that means introspection. Like Sherlock Holmes, I had to find the clues, see the patterns, characteristics and obscurities.... and solve the puzzle that is my writing style.
It's been quite the expedition so far...and one filled with aha moments and surprises! It's like looking at your reflection in the mirror and suddenly seeing a new freckle...or in some cases some new gray hair arriving! lol
I think sometimes we overestimate our abilities, and sometimes we underestimate. The "overestimate" part is where I am focused, and where I am looking to fill the void in every respect with the use of AI.
Can AI Become My TRUE Co-pilot?
Here's where AI comes in. Once I can full understand my writing style, I will effective translate this into AI side content. This is a difficult task, and one that has yet to be mastered, but with each day we are getting closer to this outcome.
It's like having a friendly robot sidekick, always ready to lend a hand. The possibilities are endless, really...and there may come a time in our not so near future that we are able to create our own linguist characters, for practical uses across many different mediums.
With AI by my side, I can make my writing sharper, more vibrant, and to be honest, more ME. It's about enhancing, not replacing.
Challenges?... Of course. Plenty.
This journey has not been all sunshine and daisies. It's much more equivalent to wrestling with a bear! There have been times when the AI didn't quite get it, or when it seemed like I was chasing my tail.
I am sure anyone using AI extensively has felt like this at times, but those complications partly come with the current limitations of AI...and these walls of limitation will be removed more and more with time as the technology progress and the computing power increases.
But these problems and challenges are what makes a journey worth it. The bumps, the hurdles, the "WTF!" moments... They're what make the destination worth reaching, right?
So there you have it...
I know I am being a little cryptic here with my overall specifics, but that is by design. We have a lot of really cool things that we are doing with AI behind the scenes, and my adventure in recreating my writing style through AI is just ONE of these.
As we head into the future, who knows what possibilities lay ahead? Maybe next, I'll be teaching AI to crack better jokes than me. Actually, it is already MUCH better at that with a simple prompt.
Let's keep exploring the power of AI as a community here at WA, keep learning, and keep evolving. These are fun and exciting times, and you should be embracing them!

I have been exploring and testing AI for quite a while.
And yes, one of the ways I am exploring using AI is to have it do the writing for me, in my style.
It will save much time and I can be more productive.
Of course, there is the need to at least read through (and if necessary, edit) for a start.
Until I am confident enough that the AI is doing ok.
Then it is less hand holding after that.
I do see mention of AI classes coming soon.
Will these classes cover these topics? - such as which AI to use? how to use them? etc?
Yeah, it isn't going to be perfect, not always anyways and content that it produces should always be reviewed as sometimes it produces content that will not be up to par with you, or won't sound like you...and other times, you have to be somewhat careful about the content not being 100% factual.
Yes. I've noticed all that with the AI-created posts I've had.
Another thing I noticed is that the AI tends to keep repeating points. Especially when prompted to write more words, eg I prompted it to write up to 1,500 words.
So it just kept repeating the few points at various parts of the article.
Yeah, it doesn't come without issues, in particular if you are using simply prompts. If you ask it for an article, in a pretty simplistic format, you are going to get an output that is "so so".
But if you reach into the mind of GPT-4, you can get VERY powerful results including very high quality content.
That is interesting.
And I hope that will be taught to all WA family.
Not just PP.

Then we can afford PP.
I'm not sure if I like this or not.

Embrace the future, because the future has arrived. We are going to keep the family here at WA way ahead of the game...and on top of AI. ItThe more you understand about IA, the more efficient and productive you are going to be in your business.
I agree, these are exciting times with a lot of unknowns yet, but the opportunity is very obvious once you dig into the AI world!
You and Carson are the real reason that I continue with you. You change with the times and that is good.
I have been with you since the following:

I have introduced you to many in the world and continue to do so.
Keep the faith, son. Extend it to your brother.
All is good. Good is all.
On a side note...Google James Allen.
I think that most of the material used by the likes of "Think and Grow Rich" came from him.
Remain awesome, Kyle. Happy Father's Day.
Please express my kindness and gratitude to Carson and his family in the same breath.
May we all live long and prosper.
Paul from Southern Ontario.
P.S. I lost another: Bob Proctor.
I will memorialize him soon.
I actually met him on three occasions.
He was a very good and kind man with a lifelong ambition to help others.
May he rest in peace along with my mother and father.
Sent with respect.
Paul Mindra.
Yeah, I heard about the loss of Bob Proctor earlier this year. That is sad, there are many marketers that leave a footprint on the way we approach key and core marketing concepts.
And thanks for all you do, and for being a big part of the family here at WA. We appreciate you!
Many thanks, not only to you but also to Carson.
May you both continue to be fathers not only to yourselves but to us as your community.
You are blessed as we move forward.
Do you know that Bob Proctor based his success on one book..." Think and Grow Rich."
That book actually became as a result of another book..."From Poverty to Power."
Most of our inspirational gurus are made from the latter and not the former.
WA's success is made based on Objectivity.
Keep it alive.
Paul from the left of you on the map.
Happy Father's Day to all in your existence, sent with love and respect
Paul Mindra.
I think that one day we will actually meet. It would then be a special day. I'm not talking about Vegas. I cannot get there yet.
Continue to be awesome. Your work and dedication are received well within the community that you continue to grow.
Peace, love, and light always, Kyle.
Hey Kyle, this is very exciting! Although your post is a little cryptic (by design as you mentioned), I'm excited to see you reveal more of what you're up to.
It's super exciting times. A little scary sometimes, but also full of new possibilities.
A famous music producer and mentor (Illmind) just created an AI bot version of himself, which is now able to serve as a mentor to upcoming music producers itself. I tried it out and was VERY impressed. You can ask questions and the answers not only sound like he wrote them, they are very specific and the bot even asks specific questions to be able to answer in even more detail.
Don't know, if this is interesting to you, but just in case it is, here is the link:

Thanks for exploring all these new possibilities for us and keeping us up front on how to leverage AI for good!
This is indeed an exciting time to be working in digital technology, and the advent of AI is creating lots of new possibilities. Illmind's AI bot is a perfect example of how AI can be leveraged to improve user experience and provide more personalized and in-depth responses...and this can be done across any niche, and within any form of education. I could see these types of bots even filling a void for those people that are introverts, and lonely.
As for our work at Wealthy Affiliate, we're deeply committed to exploring these new avenues, and it's great to hear that our community members share our excitement.
While our updates may seem a bit cryptic for now, rest assured, we're working on some exciting developments that will bring great value to our community...and this is going to be in an ongoing basis. Expect this summer to be a busy one with AI side training, and releases, but moving forward you are going to see a big focus on the tech side with AI integrations.

This is something that weighs on my mind.
If AI can replicate my style, then I'll be able to do more with less.
Training AI with a specific style is easy. For example, you can prompt a GPT tool to write in 'quirky, positive, helpful, and so on'.
But, training the underlying language model with a human voice is way more challenging.
Consider the fact that our style might change as we grow. How I write today differs from my style when I started writing professionally.
Also, don't forget that as we gain more experience, we can develop different styles when writing to different audiences.
Jasper has a feature that scans written text to learn the author's style. I've briefly tested and it wasn't impressive.
You'll need to bring Artificial Emotion in to enable AI to perceive the world as the author does.
Or you'll need to train the model with larger numbers of text written by the specific author. Notably, most of us have not written enough to create sufficient training data.
Yet, you might have better ways to do so, seeing how WA continues to reinvent itself over the years.
I pray this becomes reality, so that I can quit my writing career and go all out in affiliate marketing and other ventures.
Your thoughts on this subject are spot on Kenny. The use of AI in content generation indeed presents both opportunities and challenges.
AI tools ChatGPT and Bard can be trained to mimic writing styles to a certain extent. However, truly capturing the essence of a human writer — the nuances, the emotional intelligence, the ever-evolving style, the innate creativity, and the context of their experiences — is currently beyond the "out of the box" scope of these tools. It requires a lot of creativity and sophistication to get to a point where it behaves in a way that is of close semblance to a writer.
In the same vein, training an AI model to write with a specific "voice" can require substantial input data. Most of us indeed haven't generated enough writing for AI to accurately mirror our unique voice, so this can represent issues for someone that doesn't write with frequency and in that case, why would someone writing without frequency and skill want to emulate themselves (they would likely prefer to emulate somebody else).
It's not just about replicating a writing style. Writing is a form of communication, and good writing entails connecting with readers on a deeper, emotional level — something that AI at some levels has a difficult time doing, but with GPT-4 it has gotten a lot better.
The rapid advances in AI are quite promising. While AI may not replace human writers entirely (especially when it comes to creative, emotive, and opinion-based writing), it can certainly augment our capabilities, making us more productive and efficient. Writers will use this as an "extension" of their capabilities.
At Wealthy Affiliate, we're continuously exploring how best to integrate AI in a manner that adds value to our users, without compromising the personal touch and quality that human writers bring to the table. You are going to see some interesting stuff in this respect coming, and we are truly excited about this!
Your transition into affiliate marketing full-time is completely attainable, you are very skilled and I know you would thrive within the AM world with or without AI.
Thanks for dropping you comments and insights.
