Beer with Kyle Fridays: Site Support Just Got a Complete Refresh (And Where Websites Go Next)

Hey everybody,
I know I have missed a few weeks recently. I was away on vacation last week with my family, but I am back now and I expect to be here for Beer with Kyle Fridays for the rest of the summer.
We have a lot to talk about... Wealthy Affiliate, some Kre8or updates, and plenty more. But today I want to make this conversation entirely about hosting support.
I know site support has been up and down over the last six months to a year. There has been an evolution where at times the support was really high quality, and other times people were understandably disappointed. Well, I have really good news on that front. If you have submitted a ticket lately, you are probably more than impressed with the level of service right now, and we plan to keep it that way. In fact, we are going to keep advancing it to what we believe will be the best hosting support in the world. I know that is an ambitious claim, but it is one we are going to be making soon.
This Week's Beer.
Today's beer is the Skyward IPA by Bale Breaker. Bale Breaker is a brewery out of Washington state, somewhere around Moxee, wherever exactly that is. I was just down in Washington on vacation with the family and picked this one up. I have had it a few times already so I know it is a good one.
Pouring carefully as always so I do not ruin another computer. You can see it has a lighter coloration, almost does not look like an IPA, but it definitely tastes like one. Bale Breaker is one of the more popular breweries down there. It is a 6.5% ABV, so probably not one you want to drink too many of, but a great starter beer and a great beer for Beer with Kyle. Cheers.
How to Reach Site Support.
Let me walk you through where to actually find site support, because I want to make sure everyone knows how to use it.
Inside your Wealthy Affiliate account, go to Websites in the menu. Under Site Support you will see a button. Click that and it takes you to a page showing all of your tickets. You can filter by unread, read, or all. To submit a new ticket, click the plus sign and select create a new ticket.
Site support is for anything related to your hosting and your website. Website speed issues, your site being down, setting up DNS or records, setting up mail, mail issues, all of that. When you create a ticket, it asks if your question is related to your website. Yes takes you into the site support flow where you select your website and describe what you need. No points you in a different direction.
One quick note. Sometimes people get a little confused and submit marketing questions to site support. That is not the intended channel for it. For anything outside of hosting, you can reach me or Carson directly, or create a community question. Site support is specifically for the technical, hosting side of things.
The Complete Site Support Refresh!
Here is the big news I do not think has really been discussed until now.

In the past, our support has been at a varying level, and there is a real reason for that. We have been transitioning our entire hosting environment. How our servers work, upgrades, and a lot of behind the scenes work, including giving the support team more tools, more access, and more capability. That transition took a bit longer than we anticipated.
Well, we have now fully transitioned. And the difference is significant.
You can now expect responses in near real time. Within about five minutes you are going to get a response, and typically your issue is going to be resolved within that same window. Even detailed and complex issues. This has been the state of site support for roughly two weeks now, so if you have submitted a ticket recently, you have experienced it firsthand.
Honestly, I do not think this level of service is paralleled anywhere in the industry in terms of what can get done, the speed at which it happens, and the quality of the support you receive. And it is only going to get better.
So going forward, any hosting ticket you submit is going to get dealt with right away. I can assure you of that. This is the best our site support has ever been in our history, and we feel we genuinely lead the industry now, both in quality and in the complexity of what it is capable of handling.
Where Websites Are Headed..
The second thing I want to talk about is where websites evolve from here.
Websites are not going anywhere. They are still going to be a fixture of business. But we want to place a real level of importance on making it easier and faster for you to update, alter, and learn about your website.
We are still running the older version of our site manager, which is going to be refreshed when we roll out the new version of Wealthy Affiliate. The vision is to give you much easier control over your websites. Maybe you want to find out which content is performing best. Maybe you want to know which content has not been updated in over six months. Maybe you want the best plugin for a specific task and you just want it installed.
These are the kinds of things we want to tackle for you on the hosting side, and we want to make them EASY. We do not want anything related to a website to feel complex or technical. We want you to be able to ask for something and have it simply get done.
That is where the website environment is heading. From content creation, to plugins, to a little HTML widget you need for something specific. You ask, and we deliver it in near real time.
Think Big: What Would You Want?
So here is what I want from you today.
Imagine you had a brain that could do anything for your website. What common tasks would you want automated or handled for you? What have you been putting off because it felt too complicated, but you would love a platform to guide you through it or just do it for you?
Maybe it is streamlining your plugins. Maybe it is getting rid of plugins that are slowing your site down. Maybe it is building an entirely new plugin. The sky is the limit, and we are genuinely starting to think big on our end about what we can help you with. Nothing is off the table.
I always encourage people, especially on the Kre8or side during the recent beta, to think in terms of "it would be nice if..." It would be nice if I could do X. It would be nice if the platform could handle Y. I want you to think that same way here. We evolve and innovate our platforms based on things you want that are beyond what any of us can currently do easily. So think big.
We feel we can do anything now with our technology and our team, and that is what has us so excited.
Now I Want to Hear From You
Jump down in the comments. Nothing is too outlandish or crazy. What are the website and hosting tasks you would love to simply ask for and have done?
I will be reading and responding. Have a great week ahead. We are getting fairly close to the new iteration of Wealthy Affiliate, which we know is going to change the game in our industry and truly help you take your business to the next level.
I look forward to hearing your feedback! :)
