There Is No Standing Still in Entrepreneurship: Embrace the Change
I recently engaged in blog conversations with my fellow entrepreneurs, and they were talking about loving what they do and being very comfortable not making changes. I was surprised to hear it because change is inevitable, and we should always be prepared to embrace it.
Itās a fact that life is always moving forward, there is no standing still ā youāre either moving forward with it or falling back. I understand that there is a point at which you are happy where you are in life, and you feel thereās no need to change anything. You worked hard to get to that level and itās great, it truly is wonderful. Kick back and enjoy your retirement, you earned it!
But for the rest of us entrepreneurs, we came here to blaze new trails to do what we havenāt done before or do better at what we do. We are those people who are looking for innovation and opportunity ā and that's exactly what weāve found here at Wealthy Affiliate. This platform is constantly advancing and moving forward with improvements. Its founders are making it better than ever. Itās not the place it was last year! And that says a lot. When I say Wealthy Affiliate and people donāt get excited, I wonder:
Do they truly understand what it offers?
Are they stuck in the past, thinking it's the same as it used to be?
Or, are they simply unwilling to invest the cost and effort it takes to build a successful online business?
Let's be real: freedom and success costs and require effort.
I know this platform is a great opportunity, possibly the best opportunity for people to realize their dream jobs. But you need to have that eye of the tiger. That willingness to get out of your comfort zone and put it all on the line. Thatās where I am. That's why I am part of this team called Wealthy Affiliate. I am grateful to be here. I will try new and uncomfortable things to move forward. But in fairness I must admit Iāve never been at that level comfortable, where I could say ā itās enough.

You are so correct. We have to be flexible, especially in these times of constant change. We are no longer able to rest on our laurels. Besides, laurels don't look very comfortable!
Doing thisābuilding multiple businessesāis my dream job. (Well, actually, in my dreams I don't work!)
But I do love doing this. Thank you for sharing your observations and insights.

I couldn't agree more, Karin. Flexibility is key. Who needs laurels when you're having fun building your dream business? Speaking of dreams, what are you up to in yours? Are you relaxing on a beach somewhere?
Not yet! Sitting at my kitchen table looking at the sky and amazed by all the beauty that surrounds me! This is right where I need to be currently! š
Karin
Your kitchen table sounds like a wonderful place to be looking at the sky, seeing all the beauty and feeling completely blessed.
For sure. I have always loved this place in my house. My office has a window, but it isn't near my desk. My kitchen table is perfect for me!

So very true, Kundi! So many companies in USA that were around 100+ years are no more because they became complacent.
Mel
You're absolutely right, Mel! Complacency can be a death sentence for any business, no matter how established. That's a good reminder for us all to embrace change and try new things.

I love the message here, Kundi. I have seen way to many people in my life being complacent. Most of them are not happy. I find joy and excitement in life by moving forward finding comfort in doing the uncomfortable. Very well said, " we came here to blaze new trails."
Rod
I agree with you, Rod. Complacency is a trap, and growing usually means leaving your comfort zone. I am like you, because I have to be, and I think that most of us are. We are embracing the discomfort, growing and meeting the challenge of making every effort to improve.
