Analytical questioning can be the road block to taking action!
Feeling apprehensive about making a major decision is fine. However when this indecision leads to over analyzing or you find yourself consistently questioning things or trying to make things ,”perfect” can be very debilitating and prevent us from taking any action at all.
I became interested in this topic because I was feeling a bit overwhelmed and paralyzed by my own inactions in Affiliate Marketing.
I’m starting from ground zero like some of you. I’m not a lazy person by nature, I’m actually a very hard worker, self-motivated and not afraid to endure or take on whatever obstacles or challenges that may present themselves, knowing the rewards for my efforts will pay off in the long run.
So why was I so apprehensive about writing my first blog? Was it because I was feeling intimidated, the fact that others are so far ahead of me and already written several blogs? Was I overwhelmed by all the wealth of information I’m trying to absorb? Is it possible that I was simply afraid of making a mistake or being judged? Am I trying to be to perfect? (I’m not for the record J)
Although all of these questions are legitimate and might apply to many of us, the reason behind my apprehensions is what is called, “Analysis Paralysis.”
I have a bad habit of questioning, over analyzing and over complicating things that’s actually quite simple, all because of being anxious about the end result.
This can behavior can in fact end up being detrimental to building your business, you end up procrastinating from indecision which leads to inactivity. When you’re new to something whether you’re learning something here at Wealthy Affiliate or training at your full-time job, it can feel very overwhelming, it’s like you’re on, “information overload!”
I have high-expectations for myself and when not seeing the “fruits of my labor”, as fast as quickly as I had hoped, it can be very discouraging. I learned that the key here is “balance!”
If you’re new don’t automatically expect yourself to know how to write a blog or build a website. I encourage you to follow the training and absorb as much information as you can daily and each day take some form of action.
I’m not ready to build my website yet. Not because I’m indecisive about what to write about or over analyzing the layout, etc. I’m still learning and setting things in place so I can build a strong foundation.
I took that first step of action in writing this blog. My hope is that this will encourage some of you that may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed or suffering from, “Analysis Paralyis!”
P.S. I feel really good about writing this blog, in fact I’m proud of myself and going to give myself a big hug and a kiss! (Lol)

I am doing pretty well. I have my website started... 3 times lol. I bought a domain- used just my name as a .com for this one. I got some very exciting news yesterday and have been working my tail off getting things all set up for it... I am now the official logo and graphics creator for the National Networkers Association. This group is made up of thousands of entrepreneurs and business owners, who will now be referred to me for all of their graphic design needs! This is the purpose of my domain purchase, to have an online portfolio where they can browse my work.... while being targeted with affiliate marketing of course ;) I have the domain hosted here at WA and I have applied the theme to it. Now I just have to figure out what I do next LOL

Hey, sorry I didn't see this post. Congrats on being the official creator of logos for the National Networkers Association. That is exciting news, see everything is falling into place. Now you just have to get the website done. {no pressure} :} I'm happy for you! If I know of anyone who needs a logo custom designed, I will certainly send them to you. Keep me posted, not sure how much I can help but let me know if I can do anything.. I had taken a website building course awhile back so hopefully things will make sense when I start building mine. If all else fails on your website building remember one key point... Google is your friend!

I have even taught my 9 yr old daughter to google anything she needs an answer to- and she does!
Kids these days know more about the internet then some of us adults. :} My Mom would didn't now how to use the computer was kind of stubborn about it. We bought her a Kindle, now she has an IPAD, I showed her how to Google. She's like a Google Junkie! LOL. She's always on there. I'm glad though, she's retired so it gives her something to do. :}
I taught my parents and in-laws to use their computers- a lot of the time, remotely! I still maintain my family's computers by remote- virus cleanup and general optimization. I should charge them, but I don't lol
Lol. You should:} I know it's time consuming to explain things and even harder to do remotely so that's very nice of you!

I link them to the site to download the program I use to access their computer, I set it up so their computers are accessible by me anytime they are powered up and I show them what it looks like when I get on their computer, in case they are using it when I log on. From that point, they are welcome to sit back and watch, because I disable their mouse and keyboard unless I need them to input something like a password. For anyone who isn't my family, this service is $35/hour with a 2 hour minimum. :)

Isn't it nice! I just logged off purchased my domain name but was getting tired so I thought I'd better start the website stuff tomorrow. :)
Did you buy your domain thru here or somewhere else? If it's from somewhere else, you might want to change the nameservers before you log off for the night... it takes a while for it to update where you can actually work on the site. Do you need any help with that?
I bought through here. Thanks for offering to help! I just signed up and purchased. .com , .org and .net . When I took a website class before they recommended so no one else can use them.
