Day 8 - Where is my head?
I have to be careful with information overload giving me research paralysis. It is just my personality when it comes details. Fighting off the urge of perfection is a daily battle for me. As a result, I have had to pause the Level 1 Certification at the "register a domain" stage because I got stuck on the "too broad or not broad enough" niche issue that so many others have.
Not to worry though! I am actually just about to jump back in and finish up that training because I feel much more sorted after watching a few of Kyle and Jay's classes! Jay actually gave a great tip to me today in his class - having a timer set when I am doing research is a great deterrent for staying out of those rabbit holes. I am definitely going to make some hard use of my little ticking tomato timer that has been sitting on my fridge.
When I first chose my niche, it was way too broad. I didn't realize it even after lots of rearch, until I came across someone with a website that looked super similar to the direction I wanted to take. She had all the menu items that I was thinking about including. She even had more than that. She had a LOT more. Sudently I realized how many sub-niches there were. Her website was actually quite chaotic and she didn't appear to be a subject expert on anything she had on her website really because it was just all about everything in that broad niche.
SO! Here I sit, pleased with my slow success. I have beaten shiny object syndrome this time! My niche has been written in stone. My ONE STARTING NICHE. I now have a registered domain.
Now I am off to finish my Level 1. Wish me luck.. (oooo! A piece of candy!)

That's such an awesome way to look at things.
So glad you had this realisation now and not 2, or 5 years later
I'm so excited for you. You now have the direction that you want to go.
Go forward and write and be successful ;)
I wish you well on your journey
Thanks so much! It gets a bit difficult when one is self-critical but pointed in the right direction with WA reinforcement I am feeling much more confident about putting both feet in.
Well wishes to you and happy business building!
Well.said :)
