My site is lacking comments and I've gotten tons of spam comments in the last 3 months. Some visitors left nice comments pertaining to my content, but they all post their names

You left a spammy comment on my site www.horsesaddlecomparison.com maybe that's why others leave non-substantive, spammy comments on yours?

On Google analytics you can view howmany visitors you get,
just exclude your own visits Stop Tracking Your Own Clicks in Google Analytics
there is a plugin I use called statcounter
I like it a lot and I get an email every Monday with my stats for the week
