At first I was a little confused at What is the Difference between Comments and Feedback? After working online creating a website with Wealthy Affiliate you begin to understand the difference more.

This short blog will hopefully clear things up for folks.

Read through and let me know your opinion.

Comments

Comments are your remarks regarding a post that are meant to start a discussion on a subject. They should include your personal experiences that are relevant to the post.

We ask for comments on content we create to help start a discussion directly related and relevant to the content. It is designed to start a back and forth communication on a given subject with in the post. This in turn will get noticed by the search engine telling then that people are interested in the subject.

An example would be, you have just read a post on creating content for a website. The subject would be "Creating Content." Your comments might include starting a discussion on the number of words within content that you create. Other people may feel that the best results are not so much the number of words but the quality. Where as other could feel that the more you have to offer, say 1000 to 1500 words, is a better option.

This would hopfully start a discusion on the subject. Traffic to the post will increase as people search for information on Creating Content. They head to the post, increasing traffic even more.

The result is that the post increases in value and will rise to the top of the searches. Comments are usually added to a post for others to share and continue the discussion.

Feedback

Feedback can be either positive or negitive. Feedback is not designed to start a back and forth communication. You are giving your opinion on a post. You do not need to have personal experience, all thou in some cases it helps.

When asking for feedback we are not looking to start a continuing communication. You are looking for visitors opinions on things like the content, design, appearance, or in some case how things work.

In case of looking for feedback inside Wealthy Affiliate. We are asking the community how they think we are doing on our websites. You are looking to get their opinion on whether your website is coming together or if it needs more work.

Feedback is will not usually start a discussion with multipule people. It is usually a discussion between the creator and a visitor. The visitor can be some one with experience or someone just adding the opinion.

An example of feedback would be if you have tried a product and the company would like you opinion on how it preforms. You can give the company feedback on the product that can help them improve the product for future users.

Feedback has little effect on the search engine results since they are directed the creator.

What's the Difference?

One of the biggest differenances between the two is, Comments are a start dicussion on the topic within the post, Feedback is more of an opinion on the topic or product.

To help others within the community you can earn credits by heading to the Site Comments.

One of my personal favorates is to offer feedback to people on the websites. I only do this because I like to see how others are using the training. To earn credits for feedback within the WA community, head to Site Feedback.

One of the biggest differenances between the two is, Comments are a start dicussion on the topic within the post. https://polytrack.org

In this particular pattern, the landing page is stuffed with broad information, and it does not provide the reader with sufficient information to enable them to make a rational decision on their purchase. https://schoolboyrunaway.io

I think this explains comments and feedback very well and it should be a part of Wealthy Affiliates training for some members do get confused between the two
