How to Easily Publish Your Own Book and Have it on Amazon.
As John Chow says, there are business people who hand out $5 Titanium business cards at meetings and events, but when he then hands people his book, he “blows them out of the water.” Having your own book published gives you instant kudos, credibility and brand awareness. If a journalist wants someone’s take on a subject, they don’t call up a blogger, they call up a published author.
I have actually published one book so far on Createspace. It is not about Internet Marketing though, it is my memoirs relating mainly to the last few years concerning with my somewhat dramatic involvement with the online New Age and Truth Communities.
So, how hard is it to publish a book on Createspace? The answer is that it’s not that hard at all. Start writing your text in your chosen niche on a Word document. Put aside any feelings that you know too little, or that you’re not an expert. Believe me, if you’ve built a niche web site then you’re an expert in that field. An expert is simply someone who knows one more thing than you do. If you just write one or two paragraphs a day, you will be surprised at not only how quickly your work develops, but just how much you do know about your chosen niche. Obviously, you will probably need to do some additional research along the way, but that only helps you to become more of an authority in your niche.
With Createspace you simply convert your Word document to HTML format and make sure that your page dimensions are compatible with the Createspace book format. Createspace comes with a ‘Cover Creator’ application, which is very simple to use and means that you can design your own cover in minutes. You have space on the back cover to give a synopsis of your book along with an ‘about the author’ section.
This facility that Createspace provide, namely to be able to upload and publish your own book for free and have it displayed on Amazon is truly amazing! Can you link me to your book so that I can see how it turned out. I have ibooks published but not yet on Amazon. Video embedded books are not so easy on Amazon as on iBooks.
