Belief

Popular notion has it that there are only two types of belief. There is I CAN BELIEF which we must all possess in order to invoke the I WILL BELIEF that makes it all come together .

The knowledge that you are going to become successful – no matter what – and become the master/mistress of you own destiny, achieving all your goals whilst setting knew ones, is all based on based on belief. The absolute certainty that you WILL get everything you set out to achieve needs to be at the forefront of your mind at all times.

Whilst you are taking care of content creation, SEO, website maintenance, commenting, social media etc. - all the things that need to be done on a daily basis – never forget the fact it WILL all be worth it in the end.

It can be all too easy to get dragged into mystical circles and be influenced by those who will take your money, look you in the eye, and with all apparent honesty tell you all you have to do is believe and anything can be yours. If you want it badly enough the universe will conspire to give you unlimited abundance...

Not true...

Weak and gullible people (which I include myself as having once been a fully paid up member) are encouraged to buy into this erroneous belief. The hard fact is that in order to get whatever it is you want in this world – you must first take action. The more you want – the greater the action.

Total change = massive action.

I myself am fond of reading inspirational quotes as one method of topping up my daily I WILL BELIEF. My current favourite is 'If you want something you've never had. You must do something you've never done. - Albert Einstein

The belief that you will achieve greatness must always be uppermost in your mind. There are several ways of 'keeping your eye on the ball'. We all know about goal setting, reading motivational literature and taking daily action. What about the little things that can bind these all together? For instance. A simple thing like smiling at yourself in the bathroom mirror for 30 seconds every morning can significantly boost your I WILL BELIEF. Talking to yourself too can be a great help.

The beliefs of other people can stifle you if you're not careful. We feel the need to pigeon-hole and categorise people to fit our world view of how to cope. You will nearly always behave how other dominant personalities 'bully' you into performing. This does you a great disservice and limits your potential as a human being. You must always battle against 'playing the part' for the benefit of other people, even those who believe they have your best interests at heart.

Doubting yourself and your abilities can be the most destructive influence on your self-belief. Unfortunately our education system soon weeds out any individuality, flair or independent thought. Every young, care-free mind gets the individual and unique playfulness educated out of them. Adults seem to want to bestow all their hang-ups onto evolving minds thus creating further turmoil. Then as adults we have to re-learn how to believe in ourselves once again.

The worst damaging beliefs to guard against are those self-limiting ones. "I can't do it because my (pick one the below) is against me"
Age
Sex
Background
Physical Attributes
Bad Luck
Education
Race
How many times is 'I can't' followed by one of our imagined beliefs, which are in fact only an excuse for doing nothing.

An even more harmful and damaging outcome that can effect your belief in yourself is when low self-esteem gets an upper hand in determining your thought process. The often taboo and little spoken about subject that is all too apparent and common in today's fast paced society is depression and mental health. This little understood condition carries an unwarranted stigma that can be crippling. This post is about belief and challenging your beliefs is the only way to boost your self-esteem and lead to you positively affecting your outcome. I shall return to this subject in more detail in another post.

In the meantime, adjusting your world view to include everything you want only involves four steps which amount to roughly 25% of effort for each step.

1. Determine what it is you actually want - 25%
2. Believe that you are worthy of it - 25%
3. Believe that you will achieve it - 25%
4. Go out and get it – 25%

With a positive mindset, self-belief and continual action you can't help but put into place everything your mind has envisaged.

Another quote – If you don't believe in yourself you are handsomely equipped to fail.

I wish you well in your progress toward achieving your potential...
