Understanding keywords.... or not!

Ah, keywords. Something people don't really think about until they start something like we are doing, and then it's all they think about.

When I was around 13 (10 years ago or so) I had to write a short paper for English class. I was doing it with my friend (it was a group work assignment) and we were trying to find some source material. We were really not into this assignment and wanted to get it over with ASAP. So I go the brilliant idea to find some material on Google and put it almost directly in our paper. Now, I know that was not the most ethical thing to do but I was 13 and lazy! :P But so we wouldn't get caught stealing or anything we decided only to use material from sites that ranked on pages far from the first Google page. It was such a good idea. The teacher was never going to bother searching though all those Google pages!

Clearly, we did not understand keywords! But I guess the teacher didn't either, or she was just lazy, because we got a pretty good grade if I remember correctly.

Every time I do a keyword search this story pops up and makes me both chuckle and blush.

Anyone else done something like that? I hope so! Lol
