How to Work From Home Tips

When people think about working from home they imagine themselves kicking back on the sofa, lounging in bed, or maybe out by the pool if they have one. That certainly is one of the perks of working from home, but you can’t associate this lifestyle with being LAZY. Working from home still requires WORK and if you want to be productive you should have some rules that you follow. Here are my tips:

Create a schedule for the week of things you want to accomplish to stay on track. Jot down which days of the week you’d like to publish posts and come up with some broad ideas for topics. Include time in your schedule for redesigning your website, adding widgets, more advertising, etc. Also be sure to pencil in time for lesson plans within WA and visiting other websites to learn from and gain ideas.

Set aside time in the day to shower, clean, exercise, and do hobbies that you enjoy. This will help you from being sucked into the online world to the point that you’re unable to pull yourself away until you realize that it’s midnight and need sleep. Time seems to fly when online. Remember that it is only one part of who you are.

Make sure to socialize. Working from home can be lonely because you don’t have the same interaction with people in the outside work environment.Be sure to call friends or family, use Instant Messenger to chat with them, be social on one of the many social networking platforms available, or right here in WA chat.
