I stumbled across a YouTube channel called, "Million Color Baby."
What does the channel feature - 1 hour "videos" of colors. Single, static colors. Like so,
And it appears to be monetized.

Colour can be used for various therapeutic benefits, to change or enhance moods. Used for meditation or relaxation. Perhaps this is their niche.

It only has 89 subscribers. Can it really be making any money?
I wondered about that because I didn't think that was even enough subscribers to monetize. Actually, I know how to check for reals .... lemme see if I can confirm.
So yeah, they don't have the 1000 subscribers necessary to monetize themselves and an inspection of page source doesn't indicate that they are monetized.
So, YouTube must have placed adds on the videos themselves. They do have 99K views on this one video since February. (Why? Who knows.)
I'm getting a little out of my depth here ... someone who knows more about YouTube feel free to set me straight if I am wrong :)
Hard to believe that many views. Probably curiosity
